New Frozen Show replacing Aladdin at DCA

Are you sure the Aladdin ensemble lip syncs? When I've seen the show it appears everyone has mics and is singing live as in any professional show?

From what I understand, the Aladdin ensemble sings live but is augmented by tracked vocals. There are dancers in the cast who do not sing and just lip sync.

In Magical Map, the chorus lip syncs entirely. The only live singers are the principals who have solos.

I don't go to the parks for theater productions, but every once in awhile, they hit a home run. Aladdin was one, and so is Nemo at DAK. If Frozen is half as good as either, I'm sure I'll enjoy it a lot.

From Mint Crocodile's blog:

"To commemorate the release of animated blockbuster hit, Aladdin [Diamond Edition] on DVD / Blu-Ray, for a limited time, one lucky viewer at each performance will win a free digital download of the animated movie"

A free digital download? Is Disney too cheap to spare a few blu-ray combo packs?

They are shamelessly plugging the Blu-ray release before each show. Reminds me of the time I was trying to leave Disneyland and cast members were positioned on Main Street trying to sell people copies of Frozen.

They are shamelessly plugging this release everywhere. I can't remember the last time a home video reissue got this much of a marketing push. I guess the combination of the Broadway show (cross promotion!) and Williams' death is what ultimately took it this far.
