New Fantasyland - Phases

Unfortunately WDI does not decide what does and does not get built. See Dinorama, Camp Minnie-Micky, DCA version 1.0, Imagination version 4.3, and the SSE descent.

Just FYI, WDI is hiring both full-time and interns. Lol. I got an email about it from my dean. I'm shooting for the co-op. :D

I'm excited about this expansion, but I think I'm going to try and keep myself from looking at too many pictures. When I see it for the first time, I want to really see it for the first time. But who am I kidding? Like above poster, I'm way too excited. :p I'm goofy with excitement.

It's nice to see FLE moving along so well. Again, thanks to the OP for organizing the phases, and thanks to raven for clearing up the murkyness!!

I'm a little confused. Is Pixie Hollow happening? Because I could have sworn one of the large signs on the construction walls advertised it as an upcoming attraction. And is the circus/tent-esque theme throughout all of the current Fantasyland going to be scrapped and revamped, ie The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh/Peter Pan's Flight/it's a small world? Is most, if not all of Toontown going to be demolished? What is the fate of the Speedway? :x

From what's been going around...:
- Pixie Hollow, as advertised in the concept art and D23, will not be happening. (the oversized meet and greet and possible ride, located either adjacent to the Mermaid or across from the Barnstormer). The Pixies will be represented somewhere else in Fantasyland, however, but where, I'm not sure. Wherever, it won't be on the scale of Pixie Hollow (which was essentially oversized flowers and gardens). No depiction of Pixie Hollow is on the current construction walls.

- The tent facades around Small World and Peter Pan's Flight were refurbished and staying. The Winnie the Pooh-area tents will be removed (presumably including Pooh's Thotful Spot). Earlier on, a clock tower above Mrs. Pott's Cupboard was refurbished to add a thatched roof to help blend in with the new area. It remains to be seen whether the tents above Mickey's PhillarMagic and Snow White's Scary Adventures will remain.

- The only parts of Toontown not being demolished are the tents and Barnstormer coaster. The Barnstormer will be re-themed and re-named to "The Great Goofini". The tents will eventually be re-purposed as meet and greet areas. Donald's Boat, Pete's Garage restrooms, Mickey and Minnie's Houses, and Toon Park are all being demolished. The Toontown Fair railroad station will be refurbished and restrooms will be added to the side of it.

- The Speedway is staying. The final curve will be shaved a tiny bit to accomodate the new Dueling Dumbos located adjacent to it. The modification will be seemingly un-noticeable by Guests.

I thought in this case WDI is in control of and TDO has very little say so.

Can't wait to see what ends up on mousesurplus...and what ends up hidden behind an existing show building that we will obsessively view on Google Earth!!

Thank you very much for clearing things up for me, it's greatly appreciated.

I have to ask... but am I the only one who keeps thinking of the old Dueling Dragons ride at Universal when somebody says Dueling Dumbos? :lookaroun What exactly is it supposed to be, if I may ask? This?

In the original concept drawings, the queue for the two Dumbo spinners was supposed to be some sort of new interactive queueless system inside the adjacent Big Top.

Are you saying that the Big Top is going to be made up of the existing Toon Town Fair tents and that meet and greets are going here instead of the Dumbo queue?
