All I have seen from Diagon Alley is one new attraction and a blimp type transport thing. I highly doubt its going to bring in more people than NFL.

I can rest assured numbers will back me up.

Jimmy Thick- Without question.

First, most of the FLE opened in 2012. The only thing yet to open is the Mine Train, which by all reports is a kiddie coaster.

We don't know what the new Harry Potter stuff will be.

It is generally unfair to the FLE to compare it with the Harry Potter stuff. Disney wasn't attempting anything like Harry Potter with the FLE. The Harry Potter stuff is amazing and has a top-notch ride.

I do think, for what it is, that the FLE is nice and that the Little Mermaid ride is very good.

Of course the means are important. And you're blinded by something if you think anything is done in the amusement industry for anything other than profits. Disney is a great company but it's not investing billions out of the kindness of their hearts, they expect a return on investment, and so does universal.
You say means are important and then condratict that agreement. Being for profit does not make everything equal. Handling existing crowds is a different goal than bringing in new crowds.

New Fantasyland was not about driving new growth.

Maybe not initially, but many of the ads have been going that way. I'm particularly thinking of the Once Upon a Time cross-promotions, as I'd imagine that many of the show's audience might not necessarily be the traditional Disney fans.

Are you really that deep into pixiedust?

Aren't you raving that themeing is what makes Disney the greatest thing in the world? I understand you're not a fan of Harry Potter, but do you know the level of details Diagon Alley is gonna have? Do you at least took the time to look at what Diagon Alley is going to offer to its guests?

Universal is not even gonna offer Express Pass to their one ride for two years because of how many people they are expecting to enter Diagon Alley in a daily basis. They have a extended queue at least two times bigger than the SWW extended queue for M&G. For the first time ever Universal Studios will offer early admission to onsite guests do help with crowd control.

NFL never brought more guests to Disney, it only helped distributed the crowd inside MK a bit better while people are booking vacations specifically so they can go to Diagon Alley, I know of at least three families doing that.

I'm afraid comments like this just show how biased you are.

Or maybe you need to read details widely available online.

Or maybe you just don't want to know?

Make sure you post the attendance increases for both parks in 18 months - 2 years time.
Then we can see your numbers.

Too funny...

No, he firmly believes that "Disney" is what makes Disney great. He believes that Disney's long history and loyal audience base make them (and always will make them) better then anything else. Disney can never fail, because they are Disney. Everyone else is destined to fail, because they aren't Disney.

Does UNI offer a vacation planning video? I never really thought of going there, but I know that there's such heated debates about uni vs. wdw on the forums. I checked their website for more info awhile ago but there's not much there to really sell you their product. I enjoy reading posters' opinions of the parks but most people I've talked to about it thought uni was too small (most were there to see WWOHP and thought it would have been bigger) or if they did say it was better than wdw, you had to take their opinion with a grain of salt because they only visited MK and thought that's all there was. Anyway, yeah, is there a video where they try to sell you on booking a trip with them?

Hmm, I don't think they have a planning DVD you can request like WDW, but there's some videos online.

Uni is more like DL in size 2 parks City walk in between 3 hotels. Uni is different but can be just as fun depending on what you like. DL has more attractions then Uni and I still prefer WDW over Uni but we like to add it on to our DIsney trip.

I agree. We love Universal, but I can't picture spending more than 3-4 days in the theme parks.

We never go to Disney World without spending a day or two at Uni, both are great parks. They are nothing alike to me but both fun. Uni is definitely comparable to DL with both park entrances and citywalk walking distance from each other. Yes the parks aren't as big as disney but the rides are far more thrilling.
