T Look especially for the 53 minute Innoventions rotunda loop if that's what floats your boat ;)

I really think the WDW Forever kiosks would be a great thing to bring back, with more music, of course. Especially in this day and age of custom playlists and whatnot.CD burning is not at the height it was at in 2000, but maybe they could add a digital download code with every purchase to download additional content once you return home? Hmm...

Audio from the parks is an area I think Disney could make a decent pile of cash these days. Especially with how prominent digital distribution is now. Why bother with arranging and manufacturing CDs when there's literally hundreds of tracks they could be selling for a buck a piece? I know it's a niche market, but the costs to get this stuff out on a platform like iTunes can't be that significant.

If this ever happened.....iTunes meet my next paycheck !!

I agree. I would love to have an HD recording of the whole TTA (WedWay) spiel along with live ride sounds (park guests chatter, music, etc.). These are songs/sounds that transport me back to the park even though I may not be able to travel there as much as I'd like. I can close my eyes and pretty vividly visualize the entire ride. If recorded with professional microphones and produced in a very high quality manner, they would sell these both in cd and digital format that would make Disney a huge profit considering there is little to no additional costs in producing these.

This is good news!

I'm a fan of Epcot's music and would love to see the Future World soundtrack on the CD. In fact, it would be great if there were 4 park specific CDs, with attraction music and background loop music for each park.

Disneyland Paris and Tokyo Disneyland have a great CD collection... I even have a hotel specific CD for TOkyo - plus they release Easter, Xmas CD's also, and Paris release all their parade music and show music!

.... I'm off to YouTube to stock up on Disney Music Memories!!

It'd be nice. Since they dropped the 40th Anniversary project something new is long overdue.

Not to mention online sources now have a far better catalogue of unavailable material.
For a company that seems to be grabbing every cent, it baffles me that they don't put all this content on iTunes. What's the cost to them? They could easily put out multiple CD sets for every park. I feel a lot less guilty about going to file sharing sites and getting the content for free when Disney isn't making it available. I'm looking to spend money (and have purchase 4 parks, 1 World and a few other CDs), but if they don't put it out there I (and others) will get the audio other ways.

Indeed. I have every WDW related CD available, bought legit. Some still shrink wrapped! But my private collection is a zillion times bigger.

I dare say they consider the (marginal) time and money spent putting all 3 verses of Tomorrow's Child, Horizons animatronic dialogue or We've Come so Far on iTunes too much effort for what they'd get in return.

Any guesses on the new tracks? I'd say New FL related rides, TT 2.0, Toy Story Mania, new Mission Space BGM. Going going gone guesses: Toontown Fair, Honey I Shrunk the Kids, Playhouse Disney, Lights Motor Action.

I'd really hope for a retro themed bonus CD or tracks, like the old Epcot entrance BGM or innovations BGM. Retro seems to be big in Disney as of late, so it is possible.

Hopefully the fact that Pirates, Mansion, Carthay Sessions, and now Wishes are available for digital download is testing the waters. I won't get my hopes up, but it's better than they have been doing.

Pirates (mermaid song)

EPCOT

So they have a few options to put together and not be the same old same old, but if they will...

3 things: One, there are some - minimal, but still some - licensing issues to delve into with releasing various tracks from the parks. That requires making a few people/budget available to do the digging and paperwork to prepping these releases. Two, there is awareness that keeping some of the tracks rare is valuable to future sales. Three, and this is the most relevant: there's just no one who has taken the lead within P&R, Merchandise, Digital or Music to put the project together. Whenever there's multiple departments who could lead, usually none do. The official CD compilations are different because there is a precedent set and they know they have to revisit to update them every so often.
