New Disney Park in Bahrain in Middle east

This won't happen for 10 years if ever. Would not be a correct move for Disney to open a park in such a contriversial area. Disney will open a park in India or Australia long before they would let loose a fart in the volitle Middle East.

This isn`t another Texan rumour. It`s in the papers over here too.

I love this guy; he buys 10% of EDL off TWDC, then refuses to meet Eisner in person :D

teebin - the Middle East is more than just Iraq  The Kingdom of Bahrain (as the country is called) would make TDS look like Six Flags.

First time I've ever heard of Bahrain, but my spell check seems to have known it. That throws out the theory that the computer is only as smart as the user.

He definately has the resources to do it right, but it looks like that would never happen, according to Disney themselves. Who knows, maybe another huge land grab thing is going on like when WDW was planned....deny, deny, deny....wait..look ..we are building in central FL! Although I would suppose the land over there is owned by the Kingdom so that this theory is moot.:hammer:

I am waiting for all the new members to join and confirm that they heard it from a real estate person in Bahrain.
I personally heard from a friend who has an aunt that is dating the groundskeeper of the accountant of the next door neighbor of Iger himself. I think that proof enough!:drevil:

Isn't Behrain where Michael Jackson ran away, er, I mean, took a long vacation after his latest lawsuit? If memory serves, he was in talks with that same cat to build an amusement park in Behrain as well.

I can see this post being twisted into a rumor that Captain EO is coming back.

Anyway, I don't think this is gonna happen. At least not anytime soon.

Can anyone think of some great names for rides if they built it?

Such as:

It's a turbin world after all

Baghdad tower of terror

Anyone else?

I liked Captain EO

I can see it now Haunted House made really scary full of evil Jews.

Only one punishment for crimes such as praying to the wrong god, being an American, shop lifting, or women exposing too much skin... public beheading.

Good this is NOT true. Can you imagine? Who would go? Not one woman that I know. I would never go where I have to wear a burka and defer to a man just because I am a woman. Plus, what would the princesses wear?

uh.. Bahrain has been on the forefront of women's rights in the middle east for decades. Bahrain has been bombed and attacked for allowing women to participate in sports, elections, etc., etc..

You don't have to wear any burka if you visit Bahrain. I'm sure they would appreciate it if you dressed appropriately at certain times but that's about it.

If this guy is so wealthy, he should buy his own amusement park.
Perhaps call it: Neverland Ranch

I just happen to know someone who has something like this and just might be willing to sell it.:)
