and i have seen this bus in nighttime pics, and the red-orange is actually reflective paint, giving the bus a TRON-like look. (think lightcycle coloration from Legacy)

Lynx had a articulated bus on property doing tests within the last 72 hours. They are coming REALLY soon. Between 4 and 6 are on order. Rumor is lynx may even be the one running them. I cannot say more. Next time they are on property running tests I will try to get pictures if I am in the right location to do so. The plan is to build a separate area for them by the magic kingdom bus loading in the big open unused area. not sure what the planed limited routes for them will be.

And no I am not a bus driver starting a rumor. I do not work in the bus department in any way. I don't have all the details just that it is going forward.
What does Lynx acquiring articulated buses have to do with Walt Disney World acquiring articulated buses?

To do that they would have to assign them to permanent routes. They couldn't fit in with the way it regularly works. Which one's can you think of that are just there and back now? Any? The only one that I can think of would be a place or route that covers Pop or AoA. I almost never ride the buses so I'm not sure what ones would fit in with a separate loading area at the parks.

A) What is your source? Those on here that are well trusted say this isn't going to happen.

and

B) I'll believe it when I see it. ;)

Transportation has changes coming. Its not just buses. Things are being ordered, being improved and changed. Routes are being streamlined. The lynx bus was running some tests on routes and what all modifications are needed.

I only know its coming. I cannot divulge my exact source. I can say there was a meeting with transportation CM's that transportation managers were at that many rumors were squashed and the info given out. This was within the last 2 weeks FYI.

The new scheme is just one thing being done. I know watercraft is getting some love as well. I have not heard anything concrete about monorail love.

I wish Disney Transport busses would get a facelift on the inside as well. I don't think Disney busses should look the same as regular busses. It's not public transportation. The guests taking these busses on Disney property aren't necessarily the same people taking busses back home. Make the busses a little nicer inside.

although at night the busses have individual tracks for the resorts that they play upon return (stayed at POR, and had a track most like the night ambiance track that plays after sundown{crickets and banjo music in the distance} this was from just the one stay i had there, and no, i do not know if this is the same track for all resorts)

At least get rid of all the tacky Disney Channel ad cards along the top of the cabin. I they want to put up placards of WDW things like tickets, FP+ instructions, and ride posters, I'd be OK with that, but the non-WDW (and often outdated) ads bug me.

amen to that, please stick to up-to-date materials, and even instructions so that people would be less-inclined to harass and chew out the GR cast members at city hall (they take enough crap as it is)

Register on WDWMAGIC. This sidebar will go away, and you'll see fewer ads.
