What I'm having trouble parsing are the people that say they absolutely cannot do Disney at all without DAS. This is not because of questioning need, but because DAS only does one thing: provides an alternate location for the wait to access attractions. That's it. There's so so so so much more that is part of a Disney trip that is not going to be accommodated by DAS. People seem to think it is some kind of blanket accommodation to access everything, but it's not. It targets one specific need and aspect that is dwarfed by the whole experience.
Just for context, I do qualify for DAS - both pre and post changes. However, if I had applied and gotten denied, I'd still have gone. My trip would look very different as there are rides/attractions that I only have access to due to DAS. But I'd do the same thing I do in everyday life - shift, refocus, and find something else pretty awesome that I enjoy doing and can do. There would be disappointment, yes, but no reason to cancel Disney altogether.
