Thanks!

That I do. As I have mentioned before, Nemo is a fine PART of the pavilion so as to placate his demographic. However, as the whole pavilion? No. With that, there is no overriding theme of Futurism, which seems necessary in a land dubbed Future World. Something tied to man or even technology is needed to fix that pavilion. Let's not turn this thread into that debate, though. DisneyParksfan1 started it for Fantasyland.:)

Don't trip!

I'm glad to see you are moving to a more moderate understanding of having something for everyone in Future World. And I'm glad you are learning tolerance for the clown fish demographic.

When they designed the MK they spent a lot of time protecting the integrity of each land. For instance you don't easily see the steam train from LS or TL. Don't ask me about why they put the skyway through FL.

I'm just glad it's gone. Seeing giant palm trees from the castle walls or Belle's village would be a similar eyesore. I'm glad you are finally able to see just how well done World Showcase is. Now you just need to apply that same standard and discernment to the MK.

Simple as that.

JT,based off what he is saying and what I now believe, there would be something to block the palms frombeing seen from the rest of the land. An "inner berm" of sorts. I also doubt they would be large palms ala SSE,probably more like ones around FoN.

Well, thanks EPCOTExplorer! You've actually changed my opinion about the palms.:wave:

Who wants to bet that there will be NO PALMS at all?:lookaroun
I would laugh.

Moving? Heck, I've always been there.

Seeing WS? Again, knew this.

Where does this fit into the Palms, though? No where, because it seems to be a jt patented delusion. The foliage will fit the attraction and the setting to a T, if this is done right, and I am confident that it will be thus far.

I am not confident in my sanity, however, seeing that I have actually been partaking in this discussion.:brick::lol:

Bravo, sir!

Quoting you......" Didn't ride this trip, Don't plan to on the next, or any following. I saw my fill last year".

You gave a very detailed explanation of your renewed (or new)appreciation for WS.

Perhaps you haven't seen the artwork. Eddie Sotto seems to think it is not the actual plan. But he didn't say I was off base in my criticism either.

It's WDWMagic. 99% of the threads meet "this standard". :p

Goodnight. :snore:

Nemo- And I don't. Don't see how that relates to me acknowledging that there is a place for him, even though I don't like it. Straw not grasped, jay. That logic, or lack there of, makes little to no sense. Like saying that becuase I don't like ToT, means that there is no need for a thrill ride in DHS. Correlations are not present here.

WS- Yes, I see more of it. Doesn't mean that my eyes are suddenly open to how things have always been done there. You seem to have a problem figuring out my connotations. Sorry you have that problem. :)

Mr. Soto and Art-The Artwork at this point is moot, seeing that it's all we have. We shall see. Palms fit in my mind.

Percentiles- I am sure you account for 98.9% of that. :p

Gnight!

This thread has been an interesting one. I'm so proud of myself for starting it.
Wait until someone begins nitpicking the color scheme of the Beast's castle or how a Scuttle's AA eyes on Ariel's Undersea Voyage blinks on and off once it is finished... "It's too blue! Change it altogether Disney!!!!" "OMG Disney can't keep up to it's toys!!!"

Yes, it has. It's turned into one long Monty Python skit.

"Palm trees? In Fantasyland? The palm tree's tropical!"
"What do you mean?"
"Well, this is a temperate zone."
"The swallow may fly south with the sun or the house martin or the plover may seek warmer climes in winter, yet these are not strangers to our land?"
"Are you suggesting palm trees migrate?"

I first went to WDW in 1996 and there was a planter in Fantasyland that had palm trees in it. It was somewhat near 20,000 Legues but it still seemed a bit odd.

So have we figured out yet if the dueling Dumbo circus will be Nordic, Mediterranean, French provincial, or Nebraska/Illinois fusion?

Definitely the Americana influence with a bit of Nordic background. And with no palm trees at all. :lookaroun
