Oh trust me when a sponser moves out they do everything they can to pull down or cover all the signs as soon as possible!

Good to know. If that is the case then Nestle was still on everything in The Land that it has traditionally been on in the past as of last week.

On a side note, I saw the sign and was about to take a picture of it, but decided against it..now I could kind of kick myself for not doing so.

So long and thanks for all the aquaculture-raised sturgeon? :D

Yes. What a fantastic imagination -

Ever read Day of the Dolphin? Oops I forgot the author but the book sure made me think....

Another thing - I get the whale in the plexiglass from Star Trek confused with the whale that fell from the sky in Hitchhiker's Guide. It's like I can't remember why there is a whale in either story.

Holy hijacked thread! :o....

Watch who you are calling a troll.

Photodave, in the years he's been a member here, has contributed information as an active cast member and as an alumnus of the company,. . . as well as some inspiring photographs and helpful instruction to forum members on how they can get the most out of their cameras.

He's also put a few trolls in their place.

Some people are a little too quick to sound alarms, and we all read the thread last week that prompted this one as a response, correcting the record. Calling Dave out as a forum troll is way out of line.

The way I read the thread, nobody was calling Dave or anyone a troll. Just came up with a meaning for QFT.

So being a former cast member and longtime poster gives you authority to use the F word (abbreviated or otherwise) in your posts?

Did it not take several years for all of the AT&T logos to be removed from SSE after their sponsorship ended? If I remember correctly there was still one logo up that had to be removed when Siemens became the sponsor.

I don't think I said that.

There are procedures in place to report offensive posts and the moderators can be the ultimate judge of whether the post needs to be modified, deleted or left alone. That said, I believe you may have done that very thing you complain of, "abbreviated or otherwise."

What I said was "Dave is not a troll." And he isn't.

Yes it did, but they were the ones that were embedded in the actual attraction. The Land would seem a much easier task to de-logo, if indeed Nestle were pulling the plug.

True, but how long has it been since the sponsorship ended? If the sponsorship has ended I am sure Disney will be removing the Nestle logos as soon as possible but you know how the bean counters see things. More than likely logo removal would fall into some sort of a maintenance budget. A one fail swoop removal of all logos in the pavilion would more than likely exhaust this budget. Sure, they could allocate money to do this quickly but I doubt the removal of a sponsors name ranks really high up on the priority list. Just look at DHS. They changed the name of an entire park and it still took several months before all references to the old name were changed.

Right, but at the moment, Disney are saying Nestle are still sponsors (according to that Sentinel article), and every logo is still in place in the attraction. The only thing that has been removed is the Jr Chef cookie exhibit and the name form the map.

The Jr Chef could just be Nestle cost cutting, or wanting to focus more on the healthy image.

The map issue could just be a problem with a refresh of the map design, and nothing more.

I just dont want to jump on the "Nestle is gone" bandwagon until we see some real evidence of that. I really hope they are not gone, as it's not good for the pavilion.
