Nestle name still all over the Land pavilion

Any additional news on this? I coninue to hear that Nestle logos are being removed from the pavilion which would suggest sponsorship has ended (have they really already been 10 year sponsors?).

Nothing confirmed though, so just wondering. Of all pavilions, The Land is one that needs sponsorship the least. We'll never see big changes in that pavilion as Living with the Land is a working area, so no big alterations to that area. Soarin' updates rely on movies versus major refurbs...

Anyway, just wondering if anyone has heard anything.

Nestle began sponsorship of the pavilion in 1994, so it's already been 18 years. As of earlier this week, all of the Nestle signs remained at the pavilion.

Thanks! I didn't realize it'd been that long already (guess I'm getting old). Good to know logos are still present - I listened to a pod cast that suggested otherwise.

I thought I read something about a Coca-Cola and Nestle conflict with both companies wanting to sponsor things in the parks.

I can't remember where the heck I read it though.

im not surprised, it takes a while.
however, the nestle products have nothing to do with sponsership
what i mean is disney orders food from a company. they choose the brand and other stuff. i wouldnt be surprised if they kept its products becuase of high sales.

Actually, the serving of Nestle products at most Disney restaurants on property is very likely a direct result of their sponsorship of The Land. For example, after the sponsorship agreement with Siemens, their products are being heavily used, such as Sylvania lightbulbs. Also, nearly all computers on property are HP, in correlation with their sponsorship of Mission: Space.

Right, but at the moment, Disney are saying Nestle are still sponsors (according to that Sentinel article), and every logo is still in place in the attraction. The only thing that has been removed is the Jr Chef cookie exhibit and the name form the map.

The Jr Chef could just be Nestle cost cutting, or wanting to focus more on the healthy image.

The map issue could just be a problem with a refresh of the map design, and nothing more.

I just dont want to jump on the "Nestle is gone" bandwagon until we see some real evidence of that. I really hope they are not gone, as it's not good for the pavilion.

I was in the Land Pavilion over the weekend. There is now more seating for The Seasons food court where Jr Chef was. The Seasons needed more seating! It should be easier to find seating on busier days. The Nestle signs were in the pavilion as of Saturday 6/14.

I'd welcome Kraft back without concern.

I'd also welcome General Mills, Coca-Cola or Cargill as potential sponsors.

No logos have been removed from any part of the building as of yesterday.

Does this mean that the beloved Nescafé coffee will disappear from the resort food courts?

:)

Of course, you're joking........right?

Yes, joking. It's my subtle sophisticated humor.

Actually I wish the food courts and other places would get 'Douwe Egberts' brand of coffee.
We have it at work and it's very good.
I think Douwe Egberts is a company in The Netherlands.

Replace the Swiss Nescafe with Dutch coffee.

:king:

I forgot about this thread!
No Nestle logos on the outside signage when we were there in Feb. I have to assume that this sponsorship has ended.
