Alright, i'm back from another glorious trip to the World. Saturday was MK and AK, Sunday it was the Studios. And as you can tell from the title of this thread, there were cheerleaders. Everywhere. More on that later, let's get into the update, shall we?:D

First off to Animal Kingdom.....

-Everest construction looks great!

-The park was crowded, but the lines were short. We walked onto Primeval Whirl twice, only waited 10 minutes for Dinosaur, and had to wait for the next show for It's Tough To Be A Bug. I've got a photo of the wait time board in my album.

-Ok, so I caught Mickey's Jungle Jammin Parade. Well, one of the girls who were pulling one of the animal floats was looking at a CM near me with a "whining" face complaining that the thing she wore on her head was too heavy or something. All of the other people in the parade looked happy, but she wasn't, which really ruins the magic, especially when there's some kids around.

-There's a cheesy-looking carnotaurus walk-around at the horrible place we call Dino-Rama, i've never seen him before but the costume looks cheaply made.

We're off to the Magic Kingdom now.....

-Wait times were not posted on the board when I got to the MK at about 5:45.

-I only went on two rides, Splash and Thunder. Splash was walk-on. Thunder posted 30 when I got in line, which turned into 15. When we returned to the station after our first run, we got up and went back in line, which we waited 5 minutes. Then they said over the loudspeaker that if no one was in your row, you could stay on. Well, no one was in our row, so we stayed on for a ride. Then we got back to the station and no one was once again in our row, so we rode again. Then when we got back, no one was in the row, but after everyone was seated they brought a party of two to our row, so we had to go. We got two rides on Splash and 4 rides on BTMRR.

-Splash looks amazing with the new paint. The water wasn't running down the final drop and the waterfall before you get into the last scene was not running, i'm thinking it's because of the paint. For some reason though, both rides I took seemed a lot slower than usual. I don't think a lot of AAs were working as well.

-There was some new lighting fixtures sitting over in Grumpy parking lot I believe, looks like they'll be replacing a few in the parking lots.

-The Timekeeper is indeed back on seasonal status.

-Wishes was fine as usual......

And last but not least, the Studios......

-Kermit statue by the Stage 1 Company Store is under refurbishment.

-The Backlot Tour is down. Also, another thing to note, it is completely off the map (AFI Showcase took its place) and the route as well as Catastrophe Canyon art are off as well. In the space where all of it use to be, it's all green and on the space is a yellow box which inside reads "FUTURE ATTRACTION SITE". Could this mean the end of the backlot tour? I mean, why would they take even the route off the map, as well its listing?

-It was actually moderately crowded at the Studios. Our first ride when we got into the park yesterday morning was GMR, which we walked right into. Then we went over to Voyage of the Little Mermaid, it was 10:45 and the stand-by entrance's next showtime was 11:30. We FP'ed that one and only waited until 11:10 to get in. When we had finished with VotLM the GMR was posting a 25 min. wait and using the outdoor queue. Star Tours posted a 30 min. wait at about 12:00 before we went into the Sci-Fi Dine In for lunch, but when we came out it was running a 15 min., so we FP'ed it and went to Muppets which we only waited outside for a few minutes. My dad picked up FPs for me and my sister for RnRC while me and my brother hit ToT (with a bunch of cheerleaders!), so we waited 25 minutes for that (when it posted a 15 min. wait). RnRC's stand-by wait was 30 minutes, but we FP'ed it, which'll bring me into a story......

-Okay, it was my little sister's first ever ride on RnRC, also the first coaster she's been on with loops and stuff. So what do I want to do? Buy the picture of course! So we get off (she loved it) and I got to the screens to find our picture, but it was nowhere to be seen. Three more groups of people came in front of us, still no picture. So I finally ask the guy standing there, and he said our picture was erased cause some wackos did something inappropriate when the photo was being taken! Jerks!:fork:

-TOO MANY CHEERLEADERS! The park was full of them. If they hadn't been there, then i'm sure crowds wouldn't have been as bad. The competition was being held at the Wide World of Sports yesterday, and there was going to be a party at the Studios at 8:30 for them.

Miscellaneous things....

-The Pirates of the Caribbean pin, valued at $8.50, and a Splash Mountain pin with Mickey, valued at $6.50, are back on the shelves after a long absence. A new line of Muppet pins are out as well, with single Kermit, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, and Fozzie Bear pins being released. A new Muppet Vision 3D pin is out as well.

-It was COLD! When we left the MK Saturday night going to our hotel it was 42 degrees. Sunday morning it was again in the low 40s but the temperature climbed into the low 60s in the afternoon, yet it was still cold enough to keep a jacket on the entire day. Sunday morning my hands were frozen at the Studios!

Well, that's my update, hope you all enjoyed and i'll see you all at my next update! (pictures coming in a bit)

You can never have too many cheerleaders!

Obviously youve never worked around cheerleaders at a sportign event before. I had a camera get broken beacuse of one bumping. Ive spent 2 1/2 years on the baseline at a D1 mid major college, shooting BBall before graduating, about 30 games a season.

Cheerleaders get really old, really quick because somehow they feel their job is more important, when its the people on the court that matter, and its my job to focus on the players. Havign to fight for space is so damm annoying.

Forgot to mention......

-The gum that lined up on the rocks to our right on the first lift in Splash Mountain is no more! The entire area is clean and looks great. About time that they cleaned all of that up!

How come on the wait board It's TOugh to be a Bug and Kali River Rapids are not listed as Fastpass attractions? Was Fastpass taken off?

They had an after hours event at MK on Friday, including some type of competition I believe.

Competitions were at Wide World of Sports and at MGM as well.

A good deal of the ones staying at All-Stars left today. The majority left will depart tomorrow.

Fastpass was not available on Saturday, it was WAY too cold and the ride was walk-on the entire day I believe. It's Tough To Be A Bug Fastpass was not available as well, it also was "walk-on" the entire day.

If the wait times are five minutes why would you want a fast pass?

There are two of your so wrongly named cheap dinosaurs in Dinorama. Those costumes are campy and they are actually expensive because they are inflated.

The TTBAB fastpass hasnt been up for awhile.

The Dinosaur Costume isnt new. I have a picture of it in my album, and that was from 2 weeks ago...It has been there since Dino Rama opened though.

OK, thanks for clearing up the Fastpass thing- its just weird they'd offer it with a five minute wait for Dinosaur and Primeval WHirl but not ITTBAB and Kali. I've also seen them offer it at walk-on attractions like JC or HM at MK during the off-season...

42 degrees is not cold. We are having a warm spell at the moment, 30 degrees after having two snow storms last week. I'm so jelous. I wish I could call 42 degrees cold. lol

Hey now! I am a cheerleader and I went to Disney twice during high school for competetions. Everytime I went my team was well behaved and didn't bother people in the park. I also noticed that the other teams were good as well. What's the difference of who the people that go to Disney are? If it wasn't cheerleaders it would have been families. I had the best times going on cheerleading trips to Disney, it is quite exciting to us. Isn't that the point of Disney, to be excited? The girls were proboably cheering because they were excited to be there.

Jungle Cruise offers fastpass sometimes during slow season, but no way Haunted Mansion. The fastpass machines there are probably closed as many days as they are open and running, slow season, you have extremely low odds of ever seeing HM run fastpass.
