Need your help with baby scrapbook gift

Oh it's no biggie. We don't even live near each other now so it would be pretty hard to do it. But really we just came to the conclusion that scrapbooks take so long to do that people would have to pay a fortune to make it worth our time!

Disneyfalcon, I think your scrapbook is wonderful, and I would love to try something similar. I am sure your books would sell really well, I know I would be tempted to buy one. What if you just did maybe 8 pages in a small book, to make it easier to make, and if you did 5 books exactly the same, it should cut the cost and time of each book. (Does that last sentence make sense?)

Thanks Minnie. That was kind of our thought. We'd make a template for each kind of book and then make the pages the same every time - maybe just with different colors. For a baby book like this we charged $100 plus the cost of the album. That was not much per hour for us, and most people just don't want to pay that much for a baby book. And I don't really blame them!

Ok, Kat, you said you were working on your book last night with your cricut. Do you have anything to show us yet? :)

No pressure!! We're not anxious or anything!!
 I love you guys!

Well, I don't have the page to show you just yet -- keep in mind last night was also my tutorial on the Cricut with my friend! I'm almost done with a page though... I'm planning on finishing it up tomorrow and maybe working on a few more. I'll definitely post once I've got one finished!

I think I'm going to buy come chalk for shading certain designs I've made with the Cricut. I made a stork last night, but I just think it would be better with a little more color added...

Ok, I guess we'll wait for a little bit longer. Although I'm pretty excited to see this stork!

And good for you for deciding to try chalk. We had a challenge with chalk once. Those are some bad memories that I would like to stay hidden away. :ROFLOL:

Yay, we can't wait to see! I know they make eraseable chalk now (or maybe an eraser that works on chalk). But I've never tried it so I can't give it a review!

Yep, it's a chalk eraser. They work well. You guys really shouldn't be so afraid of chalk. I use it fairly regularly. :)

Show off. Just because you have mastered chalk doesn't mean we all have. Do you not remember my challenge chalk page?

Okay... I tried finishing up my one page last night, but I was having trouble with the blade. It wasn't cutting all the way through my cardstock, even after playing with both the pressure and blade depth settings. I exchanged it for a different one this morning and have been scrapbooking since! :sohappy: I love that I'm able to get back into it!

Below is the first page I made. I also made a "bath time" page, but I'm having trouble uploading the photo. I haven't done this in a while..., so be nice...

Those are the cutest pages ever, Kat! You did such a nice job! Your friend will be so pleased!

What font were you using? It works so nicely.
