Need Cell phone help!

DW managed to wash her cell phone today with the laundry. It's a Motorola Razor that we didn't put insurance on.

I've searched the net and read about two dozen stories- Some say let it dry, some say use a blow dryer, some say throw it out and get a new one (not likely since I've been on layoff for six weeks now.).

Does anyone know if it can be revived?

I dropped mine in the sink and it did eventually airdry but it took about a month before it started completely working again. We took mine a few days after and they told us that it was toast. I bought another one and DH's bit the dust and by then my old one was dried and he is still using it.

Never hurst to try. Definitely take the battery out immediately. When i've had water mishaps with my phone, I take the battery out and blow dry the phone. Then let the phone sit until it's totally dried out (usually overnight). Most of the time, it's come back to life. My son once put my phone into a glass of coke, needless to say, the phone didn't survive that.

Like the other posters said, get it drying as soon as possible. It's worth a try!

Hope the job situation gets better soon.

I agree. Dry it out and see if it still works, you may get lucky.
ALWAYS check pockets before putting clothes in the washer and the person doing the wash gets to keep all the money they find. :lookaroun

PM me if the drying-out doesn't work. I have my DH's old motorola razor, and I could send it to you.
