The Walt Disney World restaurants which good choices are:

Epcot World Showcase:
France --- Bistro de Paris and Les Chefs de France
Excellent food and atmosphere in both
Mexico --- San Angel Inn
good Mexican food (not Tex-Mex) and excellent
atmosphere
Epcot Future World:
The Seas With Nemo And Friends --- Coral Reef
excellent food and a very
cool view of the reef
Disney Animal Kingdom:
Africa, Harambe --- Tusker House
excellent buffet menu with an African twist
in a very relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere
Disney Hollywood Studios:
Commissary Lane --- Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater
pretty good food, but the attraction here is
the drive-in atmosphere.....very cool
Sunset Boulevard --- Hollywood Brown Derby
upscale American menu in an elegant setting
Magic Kingdom:
Cinderella Castle --- Cinderella's Royal Table
excellent food and very elegant atmosphere
(very expensive and very hard reservations to acquire)

I hope this helps.....but, I know the two of you will have an great time regardless.
I absolutely love showing Walt Disney World to someone who has never been there before.

Have fun!

I can't help you with outside Disney property but here are some suggestions for on property.
1. O'Hana at the Polynesian- great food and atmosphere.
2.Whispering Canyon at the Wilderness Lodge- family style barbecue
3. Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club- sea food buffet
4. LeCellier in Canada in Epcot- great food and atmosphere
5. Biegarten in Germany in Epcot- German food buffet
6. If you want a touch of characters Chef Mickey at the Contemporary or Crystal Palace in Magic Kindgom
7. My kids love the Sci-Fi in Hollywood studios
8.The Garden Grill in the Land in Epcot is also a neat place
9. I have heard that Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge is also very nice.
All the restaurants can be found at the Walt Disney World website the menus can be found on this website under dining. No matter where you choose you will have a great time. Have a wonderful vacation.

My boyfriend and I love getting to eat out when we're down ther on vacation and we think we've figured out a couple great places. And here's our biggest tip-- dinners are great and romantic and all, and i'd definitely splurge for a few nice ones like at O'Hana at Polynesian, or Yachtsman Steakhouse at The Yacht Club. Kimono's is awesome over at the Swan (or Dolphin??) it's great chic setting, sushi, really nice. But my big tip is make lunch reservations if you really want a lot of great dining experiences. Eating at like 1-3PM saves a ton of money and the food and experiences are just as great. The] Cafe at the Grand Floridian has a great lunch menu. The Wave at the Contemporary is great. Or try getting a waterside table at Rose and Crown at Epcot.

Also, great spots at Universal:
Emeril's Tchop chop (spelling?) at Royal Pacific is still one of the best meals i've ever had in Orlando...
Also, The Palm at Hard Rock Hotel is to die for.

Have fun! Planning and making dinner reservations ahead of time is one of the best parts. BTW DIsney accepts dining reservations I think 180 in advance now... i'm sure someone else on this site will definitely correct me if i'm wrong though... lol Take care!

Oh and Boma or Jiko at the Animal Kingdom Lodge is just exquisite. I swear the whole property glows a beautiful burnt orange after sunset. Strolling the resort property after dinner is one of the most romantic things i've ever done down there too...

This a few of the more adult restaurants me and my girlfriend have eaten at on our last couple trips -

Wilderness lodge - Artist Point (steakhouse - pacific northwest style)

Canada - Le Cellier (steakhouse - pretzel bread is great)

Epcot future world -Coral Reef (seafood - the atmosphere is great, but be kind of loud due to the amount of kids)

Epcot Japan - Teppen Edo/Tokyo Dinning (great sushi and hibachi)

Boardwalk - Kouzzina (iron chef Cat Cora's restaurant - had breakfast there, very good)

Contemporary - California Grill - (beautiful view, there is a dress code so a little more upscale)
