For real data, I believe there was a poll that came out this year that the NBA is surpassing the MLB in popularity in the US. Obviously the NFL is the most popular in this country but it seems the NBA is number 2 now. But NBA also has a strong global reach that the NFL doesn't have yet...especially in Asia and Latin America.

Now, my question is if the popularity of the NBA will be translated to this venue? I think that is going to depend on what they actually give us with this place.

This is the first announcement I Don't believe is a good fit for Disney Springs. It's too narrow in focus and Basketball's international reach is limited.

I guess you have not spent much time outside the Americas.. Basketball has the market share of ratings in EU and AS .. those folks account for nearly half of disney tourists...

The die hard fan select themselves out because the nba playoffs, nba season tickets and nba all star game are extremely costly.

All the nba all star festivities and not even including the all star game itself are a huge outlay of $$$.

Then if you add college basketball, march madness, final four then there's hardly any money to go to Disney for the common man.

Come back when you have data and not idle presumptions.

agreed, i dont think anyones just sitting around super excited for this to open

such a waste of the prime disney quest space. While DQ needed major help surely they could have come up with some idea other than a boring sports bar, based on ONE sport.

And a restaurant experience that is basically a universal reject since this closed down there
