NBA Experience at Disney Springs

agreed, i dont think anyones just sitting around super excited for this to open

such a waste of the prime disney quest space. While DQ needed major help surely they could have come up with some idea other than a boring sports bar, based on ONE sport.

And a restaurant experience that is basically a universal reject since this closed down there

The idea doesn't excite me either, but do keep in mind that this isn't a copy of what was in Universal. This is supposed to contain things beyond just a restaurant/bar and shop.

Disney didn’t come up with the idea and this should be more like DisneyQuest than NBA City.

Think for yourselfer
The place was open 11 months ago, has been demo'ed, site prepped and is already two floors up and almost ready to frame in. Seems like they are moving at lightning speed for the way Disney operates.
Did I say somewhere that they weren’t? I was commenting on the lack of enthusiasm on here for this build, judging by the threads length and lack of postings.

If done right, they could attract people who aren't interested in the sport. I have no interest in golf, but then I saw this, this is something I would go to...

These are becoming very popular. A TopGolf just opened not too long ago in Orlando and we even have a similar version coming here in WI.

I agree if done right it can be popular. I think this will target the young male who likes basketball for sure.

There are empty buildings at Disney Springs? Where? I must miss them on my weekly visits. Maybe I need to search better.

Yeah people still seem to cling on to Disney Springs somehow being a failure. It is far from that.

The available spaces are very few and far between. The only ones I can think of off-hand are by Blaze behind D-Luxe and Little Mismatched.

Don’t worry. The multi year contract should prevent foreclosure. (And the giant Disney Visitor Base that lacks an accessible and good (sorry ESPN) sports bar on Disney Property.

THIS...I think it is a much needed space. Even if the NBA theme does nothing for you Disney is in need of a another sports bar. Obviously there is SO much to do on property but just because your on vacation does not mean you don't want to catch a big game and places to do so with large TV's are few and far between, and typically over crowded.

This isn’t a sports bar. It’ll have a dining component, but it is hardly the focus.

Obviously it has other components and Disney would most likely not just build a sports bar but from the picture it looks like there will be ample spaces to catch a game...

Even if this somehow loses the NBA as a host, this can be flipped into generic sports bar in a few sign changes. This place is here to stay, likely forever.
