NASCAR 2014

I am an old school Saturday night under the lights racing kinda guy. I know some people will disagree with us about changing the day of the 500 but I think it would really be a good thing for Nascar altogether,from what all my buddies at work are saying is that they agree that it should be on a Saturday night.

I've heard this brought up on Sirius/xm NASCAR radio a lot. The hosts say the reason NASCAR doesn't do more Saturday night races is because it would hurt the local short tracks. I would love to see more Saturday night races, but it would hurt short track attendance.

Understandable. I just wish the 500 was changed.

With the beginning of the work week and all, that might be a tough night for many viewers. If we couldn't have a Saturday night, how about either a Friday or Sunday night instead—at least for the 500, anyway. Generally speaking, I think the weekend is perhaps the most convenient time, for many fans to be able to view a multi-hour evening race.

True. If they attend it live or just watch it on tv, Tuesday mornings would be rough.

I don't see Jr. going two in a row but still pulling for Johnson. I'd like to see Harvick win but something tells me that a mistake by someone else will take him out. My daughter's calling Clint Bowyer for a win. (Her favorite driver.) I hope MacMurray's gonna surprise me today.

Harvick dominates for the win. I'm a Gordon fan and liked the late laps move he made to pass Johnson and Newman to get a top 5. Dale Jr. Looks very strong this year.
