Myths and Urban Legends, True or False

A friend of mine told me she'd heard that when the lights are on upstairs in the castle it means the Disney family are staying there. When she explained it a little further I realised she was talking about the Royal Banquet dining room, when I pointed that out she was really disappointed. Some people really will believe anything.

But another story based in what was once true at Disneyland.

LOL, SBC is 77 feet tall. There are lots of other Disney structures that are taller than SBC. This is defintely false, haha.

I heard/read that while WDW was under construction a bulldozer was reported stolen. Supposedly it turned out not to be stolen but found later sunk into the swampy-soft ground.

One thing I remember a bus driver telling us,(I know,I'm being serious though so please stay with me),is that the entire Disneyland park can fit into the Magic Kingdoms parking lot. When my wife and I heard this,we just looked at each other and kinda laughed. But then I got to thinking that I could actually see this being true. I've always meant to try to do some research on this, but never have.Does anyone know if that is true?

I thought that it was the light in the window at the firehouse at DL. Was it ever in SBC?

It was only the Firehouse, but combine that with the story of Walt having an apartment in Cinderella Castle and there you get the posted story about the lights in Ciderella Castle.

Just did a quick measurement on Google Earth, and looks like either Disneyland or Magic Kingdom park could easily fit in the MK parking lot. It's big.

apparently according to the Internet (which pure facts, as I learned on the Internet )

12,156 parking spaces are at the Magic Kingdom.

125 acre parking lot is at the Magic Kingdom

that's from Disney by the numbers, no idea how big Disney land itself is to compare because they won't let me park cars on splash mountain to count all the individual spaces
