Fingers crossed they finally bring back Journey Into YOUR Imagination.
We've waited long enough!

(Seriously, whenever I ride Imagination in its current form and get weepy for Dreamfinder, I keep reminding myself that it could, and has been, much worse. Whatever helps, I guess.)

My bet is on an IllumiNations replacement. Last December we were discussing with Disney the availability of spots for an IllumiNations dessert party in December 2015, the question we got back from them was "What if it's not IllumiNations? Would that be okay?"

Len, I believe that you and Jim Hill have discussed this several times on your podcast. I think Jim has stated several times that it has been confirmed to him that a replacement for Illuminations is coming.

(by the way, I am still waiting for that DAK walkthrough with Jim )

I've been going to EP more or less since it opened, and I don't remember anything ever being in the Chateau or in the small line of buildings across from it. Those buildings would be a great location for a QS...

There once was a store in the Chateau that sold glassware, figurines, and perfume if I am not mistaken.

There used to be specialist stores in the row of buildings.

Wasn't there also some sort of Travel Agent something or other in the building o your way to O Canada

Did anyone else notice that on Jerry Rees's site it specifically says 2016 now instead of "late 2015 or early 2016"? Just an observation.. If this was mentioned before I apologize

You know what would be a great Illuminations replacement that doesn't use the Illuminations title? A World of Color-style lagoon show reinterpretation of Tapestry of Nations.
Seriously, the day Dreamfinder comes back for reals, I want people to start asking for the Sage of Time.

Depends where you look. The page about the project says 2016, but his resume says "Premiere planned for late 2015 or early 2016."

No, Rees was talking about this project long before they decided to build the Frozen ride.

Depends where you look. The page about the project says 2016, but his resume says "Premiere planned for late 2015 or early 2016."

If that's the case, then it has to be the new Soaring film, since Shanghai won't open until much later. Then, again, it could also possibly premier at DCA.

While I feel the sentiment, wasn't Journey into Your Imagination the replacement to the original Journey Into Imagination, and it had no Dreamfinder, introduced Nigel Channing, and was considered such a poor ride that Disney revamped it only two years later?

Maybe I have my versions mixed up. But, like I said, I agree with the sentiment. I'd like the ride with Dreamfinder restored.

It did not introduce Nigel Channing; the character had already been introduced via Honey, I Shrunk the Audience.

I remember Journey Into Your Imagination was much shorter, and 95% in the dark, and Figment didn't appear until the end. I think Dr. Nigel was there from the Get-Go, and then they added more to it (Figment appearances) to make its current form.

Either way, I just want Dreamfinder back-and to be allowed upstairs with the rainbow tunnel again. Such a waste.
