I have a voucher for an AP -- not activated yet -- and I was able to link it to my resort stay later this year.

No, I did it online using my voucher confirmation number. I went to "link my park tickets" and entered the number.

63 days before my wife and i head to disney. We are at POP. Any idea if and when we would hear aout magic bands?? If that could be a possibility. I am sure hoping for them. We would really like to have them.

Ok I just got off the phone with Disney, and since I am a new annual pass member they cannot link the voucher to my account until I activate my voucher. I explained to them they need to figure this out, or this is going to discourage people who are going to buy AP's for the first time. I might try and call again later and speak to a different cast member.

I predict that the whole MDE profile situation will be a complete disaster, and your story is a perfect example of how that's already true.

In line with this, some people are already experiencing the inflexibility of this system. I know someone who accidentally listed an adult as an infant when they linked their reservation. The system is so inflexible that it cannot be changed. That just boggles my mind. On the invitations they're sending out, they note that any guest changes should be made before linking a reservation. So if someone books a trip for November 2014, links their reservation today, and then one year later dad can't go so grandma replaces him, how does the MDE system accommodate that? There are definitely questions/issues that remain unsolved, and could become a real mess with full roll out.

So there are many people at BLT now as I type with magic bands. Apparently those who had a check in date for 07-22-13 all have them. Of course we checked in 07-21-13 so needless to say it was funny at the pool today when we were literally like the only ones without bands on. Talk about feeling out of place haha!

any word on if there might be another run @ BLT in august? we check in 8/15....we have not bought passes yet, we generally do that @ the check in. as a geek, i am hoping....

The testing going on POP right now is though August only. So for now everything is normal for September unless it's done so will they just decide to extend the test or roll them out.

The pattern here is seeming to be about 3 weeks before getting the letter/email if so. So prob too early.

I'm not in a test, but last night I was able to get into the FP+ section. Today I can't. I do have a trip planned for November and my AP is linked. Interesting.

When I called the other day, I was told the website was being updated. Just because I could see the FP+ and other MM+ options doesnt mean that I will get them or be selected to use them. They said that If I got a email or letter in the mail then I knew I was selected.

I have been trying...but Disney keeps telling me since my AP is not activated yet, I cannot participate. So that sucks. Oh well.

I received an email today explaining since I'm using a Cast Member friends rate I would not be allowed to use MyMagic+ features if he let me into the park. Since I'm a passholder tho it said I'm allowed to use MyMagic+ test which I knew since I used my MagicBand on Tuesday. I've posted some of the letter below and it further shows you're told only two weeks prior you've been selected to test the program!

Your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort is swiftly approaching and you may have heard that we are testing an exciting new set of tools called MyMagic+ during your stay. You are eligible to participate in our testing due to your resort reservation. If you have not yet received information about the test, don't worry! You can expect to receive an email with details approximately two weeks before your check-in date.

I'm a passholder and my AP and reservation are linked but I'm getting the pop-up that says I am not in a test. Maybe I'll get something later. My trip isn't until November.
