When I became a truss engineer I always had the thought in the back of my mind that I might see a set of plans come across my desk with the name "Disney" on them. Well it only took 14 years but that day finally came. My company won the bid for a Disney project. Naturally I was the one selected to do it. Now before you guys get too excited it was nothing all that stellar that would have given me access to a bunch of juicy insider information about an upcoming attraction or new resort. The project was simply for a new kitchen at Castaway Cay. But beggars can't be choosers so I will take what I can get. My job was to design the roof for this kitchen. As you might have guessed I took this opportunity to put in a hidden Mickey. Now I know that no one besides myself and the contractors would ever see this and more than likely I would be the only one to appreciate it but I had to do it. All I can hope is that a few years from now an guy will be up in the attic fixing the A/C and this little detail will catch his eye and he will think "Disney sure does think of everything!"
Here is my hidden Mickey.
