My theory about BK/Australia

IF Disney is planning on building BK or Australia, I think they will announce it/begin construction after Mission: SPACE is open and operating smoothly. I don't think they would announce BK before MS opens because then it would take away from the hype of MS.......just my 2 cents.

I totally agree, and I have been saying that for months. There's no way, that they would have two major projects going on at the same time. I personally think BK should come before Australia, though I wouldn't be shocked if it was the opposite. The reason I think BK should come first is because the "left" side of the park needs a MAJOR E-Ticket ride just to balance out the crowd population, though I have a feeling Australia would be faster and cheaper to build than BK.

I agree as well, not to mention that there is a total lack of imaginary creatures at AK right now. There is an abundance of real animals for now, and plenty of Dino-stuff, where are the Unicorns, Dragons, and Harpies.

Along the same lines, did anyone hear about AK having a South America?
FYI Just so everyone knows, I'm not trying to start a new *Rumor* I had heard this several years ago, and it was with the understanding that it was an idea "under consideration."

I'm not really caught up with the Austrailia rumor. What do they say will be there? Just more animal trails? WIll there be a ride or show? If not, then I'd say bring BK before it.

Well, it makes perfect sense. Didn't they already start construction though? That is what I've heard...

They did not start construction yet, the land for BK is all ready cleared out because it was originally going to be in Phase 1 but it got pushed back because the cost for the animal care facilities etc. ran over budget.

I agree, I think they will continue the construction for Beastly Kingdom, after Mission Space :(. Although i wish they would get to work on it soon, We never know, They did Primeval Whirll and Mission Space at the same time..... But Mission Space construction was gonig slow... :brick:

I thought Australia was just a rumour? Where would this be placed? My guesses if they made an Austrilia it would be just Dingo's and Kangaroos, I dont know about any rides, it would be hard to make some.... But dont underestimate the Power of WDI.:D

Hard for this to say, I think B/K, And "Australia" will be installed to the park or start construction around May or February? :veryconfu

I don't know how much the announcement of BK would hurt MS.

BK definitely wouldn't be open and I don't know how much above ground construction would be done by the time MS opened.

Yeah, But it is still a project, They woul dmost likely have 2different projects. And for sure Dinorama did slow down Mission Space cause they were going as slow as heck... They r doing allitle better now but they sure were taking there precious time at the same time they were construction Dinorama.

They've been taking their time with MS anyway. They want to get it right on the first try.

Yeah, actualy... it is pretty much. As was the case in the Test Track... this ride is a first of it's kind. And by the way... construction is actualy ahead of schedule. ;) It will be open by (If not earlier then) the projected Spring 2003 opening date.

Mission Space is on Tower Of Terror scale apparently but by what we've seen so far the Tower seems the winner IMO. A planet shaped building just can't equal the Hollywood Tower Hotel and the Tower just has something about it even for non -riders.

"Spring" refers to April or May. I should know since I always go to WDW in Feb, usually the year of a major attraction opening, and I always miss out by 2 months and then have to wait 3 years to go on that ride.

Australia is a rumor, and I think that the chances are slim it will happen right now since the rumored ride was supposed to be a "Soarin Over" ride, but that is getting put in the Japan Pavillion, though Disney is known for having two similar rides at WDW (ie Star Tours and Body Wars). I have a feeling something big is going to come soon after M:S is up and running fluidly. There is really no "major" construction happening besides M:S and Pop Century, so there's a good chance something will be announced within the next year, unless they put 100% of their efforts into building that Shanghai Park.

I can agree with u there, And Disney doesn't usually operate but one project at a time... I thought Australia was a rumour though... It would be really hard to put in place, and u might have to walk around another land just to get to Australia...

However, I think that MS is somewhat going ahead of schedule, Construction started slow as heck, but its boosting up the like the roadrunner now... I think we should give it at least before Spring, I'm estimating, February or March.....

Lets all keep our fingers crossed and hope it opens sooner than it is suppose to... They did it to Primeval Whirl....

Maybe they can do the same for Mission Space.
