my predictions for the rest of the year....

1-Share a Dream goes for rehab AGAIN. They add characters, but still keep it boring.
2-Alien Encounter Rehab
3-MORE character meets


Epcot
1-Tapestry ends towards end of summer
2-Character back in countries by May
3-Mission Space is delayed even more, but they will get it right
4-The new JII is still not the same one I miss... they will turn it into 4 1/2 minutes of Figment singing

MGM
1-rename
2-Atlantis car removed from parade
3-Lilo and Stitch car added to parade
4-big hat is STILL a waste of money
5-ToT rehab, possible drop sequence change
6-I'll get cast in Fantasmic! (I can dream, can't I?)

AK
1-still just a zoo... with rides and shows
2-hesters and chesters dino crap still pointless.
3-beginning of beastly kingdom

Rest of the world
1-Marketplace becomes even more of a mess to find a parking spot in
2-Disneyquest adds character meet
3-new stores, more places to blow your money at
4-Wide World of Sports is still a waste of space
5-Pop Century FAILS
6-AK Lodge doesn't fail
7-more half-assed attempts at sequels to movies

those are my predictions, and I'll keep tolls of which happen

What is the deal with this? I mean really, what were they thinking? If they had done West side a little different they probably could have stuck a two or three level garage in there and blended it pretty well but because of the way everything is, if they add a garage it’s going to mess up the view from the road that helps attract so much business to begin with. We all know that you could practically spit across the street and hit the windshield of a car on the highway, too. Did they just not expect it to all go over so well? I mean, they do such a good job of planning out other things and then they go and close an entrance and tear up a few more parking spaces to add another store? Come on! It isn’t like this is a ride or show building being converted into a shop. If people can’t park they can’t go spend money!.. [deep breaths, deep breaths] The parking situation with DTD has been an aggravation and a mystery to me for years!

Actually, mktiggerman is usually incredibly upbeat! I've always been impressed by his optimistic outlook, especially with some of the difficulties he's had in his life. I suspect the injury has him down, and the slow recovery at WDW. From recent trip reports, it appears the tourists are returning; let's hope the shows, attractions, etc. get back up to former levels soon, too!!

This is my first post ever on any site! I've been going to Disney World for over 25 years and I Love it! As with everthing, there are some things that could be better.

Share a Dream - Good, but the preceding parade was better.
TON- Was cancelled every night of my trip in Oct 2001.
MGM Parade - Good, but Mulan parade was better.
Never saw the parade in Animal Kingdom.

I love just about everything in Disney World. There are only a few things that I would change. Here is my list:
Tomorrowland Speedway- Noisy, smelly and long lines.
Alien Encounter - I hate just sitting there getting breathed on.
Living Seas - I agree closing the ride. When I was there in Oct.
I thought it was a waste to have a ride through
the tanks when you could see so much more
walking. They need to make a more exciting ride
and bag the " IT RAINED, IT RAINED ETC. MOVIE."

Otherwise, I Love Disney!

I am glad to see that the characters may be returning to the countries in Epcot

Is this something new or do you mean the charecters that went around on an open top bus like last year? Charecters in the countries national dress would be a laugh. Scrooge McDuck in his kilt at the UK pavillion.

As for predictions I think the only guarantee is that theyll be more character greets, a reluctance to be bold with the Imagineering and further dulling of the Magic. Unless of course the bean counters are reminded that returning patrons are the seed to success.
and places like this need to continue doing there bit to jog their memories. :king:

This post has really brought out the negative side of people and also the naivitée of members. Why is everyone ranting about a place they love so much? Yes, sometimes some stupid stuff gets implemented into the parks, but everything is done with a purpose. Remember: Disney is a company, one that has lost A LOT of $$$, so they are probably looking to be more cost effective in the next couple of years. One thing I do agree with Tig on is Pop Century. When i was there last February, it just looked ugly and I felt disgusted when we passed it. It is a big waste of money and should be torn down and made into a new park, of course this will never happen but let's hope.

GMR to be gutted and made into....Great Disney Movies Ride!....The "worthless" hat would become a new entrance when they extend the bldg out so the que line would pass through a relocated "one mans dream" display....

Actually, it is healthy to "rant" every once in a while. If you don't like something, speak up! It might can be fixed! And Disney profits aren't down that much...do the math, it can't be too bad.

I actually like Pop Century. It has come a long way since last February! And remember, right now it's a construction site! I'm sure new parks will come along soon.
