My Magic + details ...

It's not about transporting people to other times and places and having attractions, entertainment, food and merchandise carry forth that theme.

It is all about selling the Disney BAND all the time, in your face. It is sad. You don't like it email, call or write to George Kalogridis and express that. He gets paid enough to take what you can dish out.
Fixed that

Do they do that for ADRs? Seems like you hear a lot of people say they got shut out at popular restaurants even booking 180 days +10 only to find that a few weeks later the restaurant they want opens up. Maybe it's just people canceling reservations, but I have always been suspicious that they hold some reservation slots back to be released at random later times.
The difference here is that there's less of a guarantee at restaurants that there will be a "standby" line helping to meet that hourly capacity. There's also a guarantee of cash at restaurants that isn't there for attractions.

The last sentence is the real problem. Outside of maybe MK we are all going to be gunning for the same few FP+ reservations. That's going to be a problem.
Right, the misconception exists in Disney's offices that guests are "satisfied" if they reach some magic # of attractions/nighttime shows in a given day. The problem is this number is fluid based on the individual guest and the attractions that they see. There's a reason why Soarin' has a long line and Imagination doesn't.

8-9 shows/attractions/experiences in one day.

I can do that in 2-3 hours. Wishes, Parade, Jungle, Pirates, Mansion, IASW, Mermaid, TTA, Buzz.

This is what I think people have a really hard time with. TSMM Fastpass is already unavailable after noon most days, the fear is that it won't be available day of. Hopefully they restricted advanced bookings to prevent this. You know, that and add new attractions in the parks that only have 5 rides.
TSMM is the reason something must be done. There is a mad rush in the morning for FP at TSMM. IF you decide to take a right for TOT and RnR, you might as well forget about FP unless you plan on staying until 8pm. Something needs to be done, but I'm not sure this is the answer.

Well, I'll be a armchair QB, I have no plans on returning for 5 years.

yes, I believe they are still doing that ... You are not going to get a FP for all three MK mountains, for instance.

See, I think this is a major point we are not giving enough attention (b*tching) ... because we moan about only 3 FP!! Only 3!!!

In reality it's not even that many because of the tier groupings two of the FP we get are pointless.

Our reality is we get 1 FP a day.

That, my friends, sucks.

And two more thoughts:

A) This mess has got to be good for at least 50 more pages in the "Unofficial Guide."

B) Wonder how our Brazilian friends will deal with all this?

My thought is that this will keep @lentesta and his crew of pirates horribly busy in the next year.

My other thought is that The Brazilians will still get their headliner FP+ as part of their tour package.

And that's the story behind Walt Disney Studios Paris.

"Let's just open a park with 9 rides, shows and attractions. That'll be enough right?" At least soon they'll be up to 17.

The reader comments will make for great entertainment! :D

B) Wonder how our Brazilian friends will deal with all this?

They will complain that the system is too complicated and be comped with free, anytime-use FPs for all 50+ group members.

I'm here at the moment and this MyMagic+ thing is everywhere.
The 'poles' with the Mickey motif on are everywhere. We went to Typhoon Lagoon and you can no longer just swipe your paper passes to get through. They have a cast member there now swiping paper passes as there are no paper turn styles left. Haven't been to Blizzard Beach yet though.
I was also surprised that they have completely moved the entrance to the Great Movie Ride so that the FastPass+ can now go through the main doors.

I know they are only testing this week / next week, so these entrances are dead quiet too.

I see a little advantage for AP's, because I assume the MagicBand will have to be active all year for the passholders, and essentially can make FP+ reservations year round within any 60 day window. It will be interesting to do a test to see how many FP+ are taken in the +10 day period compared to 60. Having the ability to reserve a fully refundable room with only the first night's rate needed could be useful if you think you may want to go and want to take advantage of the +10 days, and can change your mind later with no cost to you.
