I completely agree. I think that there is an assumption by the cast members where they expect you to automatically know what you are doing. I think there needs to be some proactive steps where the cast member is out in front assisting. I believe each cast member only has two touch points so they could easily stand in front and immediately assist. It is very easy to spot those that are confident with entering and those that have a blank look on their face.There shouldn't be a "am I doing this right" question to entering a Theme Park!
Agreed about the wheel chairs and scooters. But the lack of gate I think confuses most people. I noticed people looking around with a "uh...where's the gate" look, then attempting to just walk through, then figure out what to do with the Magic Pole. I know that the learning curve is relatively fast (you should get it after the first time you do it), but maybe more visual cues should be used.
