My favorite scene n the Great Movie Ride is.....

OK in the next installment of "My favorite scene" we move to the Great Movie Ride. There is alot on this ride! Unless someone else jars my memory I'm going to go with the Wizard of Oz scene. I feel it is so well done and actually feel like I am in Oz. It's really a flawless scene.

It's gotta be the final movie montage or the gangster scene. Either is fantastic imo

The Alien scene because I love the smell in there and it just makes me want to explore the area even though its not real.

I like the Alien scene but the AA of Sigourney is really bad looking

I like the Gangstar section of the ride

I love everything about this ride and the old Hollywood feel. The best, has got to be the end of the ride with the clips from some of the best movies ever! I get a chill everytime I watch the end and I get a chill now just riding about it! So fun!

I agree with sublimesting.... the Oz scene is really well done, and so incredibly detailed, I always spot something new in that scene.

A close second, just because I think the AAs are well done, would be the western scene with John Wayne and Clint Eastwood. And, being a girl, I gotta say - what's not to love about John Wayne and Clint Eastwood???

Wicked witch coming out in wizard of oz scene. She is iconic. She was my hero growing up (no kidding...no wonder i love the villains today!) and I was her for halloween for like 6 years in a row when I was young. So it's nostalgic AND it's just a fantastic movie to begin with!

I feel the same way. I made certain to video it as best I could with my camera on my last trip so I could watch the montage again and again. Still gives me chills even low quality on my computer.

As far as the AA scenes go, I would have to say that either the gangster or cowboy scenes. I'm more a western fan than gangster, but as a previous thread has revealed, they don't run that too often so you rarely see it in its full splendor so I'll call it a toss up.

I even bought the DVD of the movie to see how that scene looks in it.
In the movie he's not really standing at the door when he says those lines.

If I could, I would like to get dressed up in western cowboy gear and have a photo taken with Clint Eastwood's "Man with no Name" AA. That would go in a frame in the living room. :lol:

But the best scene, hands down, is Munchkinland. :king:

Of course, being the uber fan, I love the Mary Poppins stuff as she doesn't get much attention through the park.

But I love the Wizard of Oz and the final Movie montage. The detailing of the whole ride is just awesome! I love seeing new little things every time I ride.

My favorite is the montage at the end as well. Every time I see it, it makes me want to go back and just watch movies for a long time.

I have to say the Wizard of Oz scene is my fave, but the last couple of times in there the timing was not in synch so that detracted from it. For some reason I also like the Tarzan/Jane/Cheetah AAs.

It would have to be the Wizard Of Oz scene for me. I remember riding that back when the park opened and truly thinking the Wicked Witch Of The West was an actual person, rather than an AA.

Alien and Singing In The Rain would probably be my next favorites. I'd really love to see them do some work on this ride, even if they were to remove some scenes in favor of some new ones.

The next room was supposed to be the Wizards chamber instead of the film.

For looks and over all "wow" factor has to be the OZ scene. I think every detail is amazing.

Next would be Alien - not as well done as Oz but I love me some Alien
