Was on hold yesterday with the world, and low and behold the old "Tomorrow’s Child" song was playing. Haven't heard that before while on hold so I suspect it's something new.

That's awesome. Maybe they will add alot more older songs to the playlist. Seeing a video of Remember over at DLR makes me wish we could see similar shows at our MK and even at Epcot sometime in the future. How great would it be to see an Illuminations featuring Future World attractions of the past and their music?

The music in the last scene of the 86-94 version of Spaceship Earth. This is sometimes referred to as the Cronkite version of the ride.

It is a good possibility that they are playing the new HCOE 2 disk set. I was at WDW this weekend and I noticed it being played at several locations.

The song among other old songs is on the new official album of Walt Disney World. This is most likely why it was playing.

oooohhhhkkkey. now i get it....... just a little wordy and confusing, buti was trying to put you on the SSE attraction with the music on hold, then Tomorrows Child started playing instead.......... if that happened to me, i think id think i hit a time warp.

but i read it again and understand now. they might have been playing the double CD set........

Yeah, the music Disney plays while you're on hold is definitely old school. A few weeks ago they played that song from Fox and the Hound. I think it was called "Best Friends" or something. But it's nice to hear the good stuff again.

Tomorrow's Child beats out O' Canada for being the most cringe inducing Disney song of recent memory. (no offense to our Canadian friends)

I don't have memories of TC being on SSE, but I'm sure I heard it as a kid.

When I finally did hear it years ago on CD it was a tough listen to say the least. :hurl: :hurl: :hurl:

You obviously have not heard "Universe of energy" or "Energy" in a while either.

That's good to hear for some reason. :D

I love "Tomorrow's Child", I actually just added it to my iPod last week. It reminds me of the original EPCOT Center... ahh...

Another oldy but goody

About 2 months ago while on a call to guest services I was placed on hold and heard the "If you had wings" song which is from back in the days of Eastern Airlines. It is still a catchy tune after 30 years.

It never ceases to amaze me the amount of custome music Disney can crank out.

That would be sweet...

Glad to hear that one can hear remants of old-school WDW music when on hold, albeit music from the new 2-CD set.

Is it Energy makes the world go round, or something along those lines? One of the park Cd's I have has a slew of bad old songs on it.

Yeah, those old Epcot songs sure were stinkers :D

I believe so. On the HCOE CD it is simply listed as energy.

I`ll agree with the disagreement. I admit some of the lyrics were a bit lame, but thats late 70`s songwriting for you. Kind of adds to their charm.

None taken. Personally, I wish they would update the entire theatre/ movie. Believe it or not, Canada has changed a lot since that film was produced. Not to mention that the video doesn't do Canada nearly enough justice... Not enough stereotypes. ;)
(We should have Tim Horton's as the pavillion sponsor. )
