Not enough stereotypes. ;)
(We should have Tim Horton's as the pavillion sponsor. )
Oh great! Do you mean not every one in Canada is just like that McKenzie brothers? The next thing you are going to tell me that sorority girls don't have pillow fights in their underwear every night.

 I'll admit, though, Tim's coffee can't be beat! (Only because Colombian coffee's too strong. ;))

I think some of those statements are the saddest thing I have ever read. To each his own, but the loss of those songs is the biggest tragedy in Disney history IMHO. You have no idea how excited I was to hear they were out on hte new CD. They made Disney for me as a kid. The intsrumental part of Tomorrow's Child is easily one of Disney's best.

I now have to ask of these people, do you like the songs from the films better? I think Epcot's songs were twice what 99% of the films' songs are.

What's the name of the CD that the old Epcot songs are on? I looked on Amazon but didn't see them listed.

Thanks!
They are on the new 2-CD Happiest Celebration on Earth WDW-Exclusive Official Album. You won't find it on Amazon, but you can call up WDW Merchandise Mail Order for a copy! :)

Did I make you

I have varied musical tastes, but because it's Disney doesn't make me love it automatically. To each their own. :D

When I was on hold various times over the past week, I heard quite a sampling of old school Epcot music, all of which were on the HCOE album. Personally, I love the old Epcot music, including Tomorrow's Child. Though, Disney has put out its share of musical wretchedness. Ever heard No Place Like World Showcase, The Videopolis Song, or, as much as I hate to say it, The Computer Song?

Yes alot of the old EPCOT songs were definately 70s-ish. Energy, while it does spark nastalgia and remind me of old EPCOT which is good, the song itself is terribly cheesy and I can't listen to it for more than the first 30 seconds or so. :brick: Same thing with Tomorrows child, I like the memories it brings back but its down right gut wrenching to try and listen to.:hurl:

The songs from the 70s were great in there day, but by todays standards they are cheesy and overly dramatic. But this is just my opinion, if some of you like these songs for more than just their nostalgic value, then more power to you.:D

That more accurately describes my feelings. It's cool from a nostalgia thing, but after that leaves me head it's tough to sit through it.

Whats the HCOE 2 disk set?
Happiest Celebration on Earth 2 CD set available at the parks, resorts and DTD. It is about 2-1/2 hours worth of music from attractions both past and present. Definitely worth the $24.

HAHA Funny someone should mention Disney's Canada song, I really can't listen to Tommorow's Child without listening to Canda (or vice versa). They're both so 80's I feel like I should be hurrrying home to watch Phil Collins on Miami Vice

Last week on hold to the ME number there was the Remember the Magic song along with O'Canada and the best bit - the Illuminations 25 music and i got it right at the start with the introductions with all the folk from the WS countries. I dont know what our phonebill is going to be like with these international calls to listen to WDW Park music on the phone lol.

These WONDERFUL, CLASSIC songs are quite refreshing compared to the pop music I had to listen to on hold a few years ago. . . :D

Anything older than time itself, um I mean you, doesn't make it a classic.

No. But being great songs that were featured in great attractions does make them classic :animwink:
