I agree, the bands (retro/rock/cover) at Tomorrowland Terrace, as well as the swing bands at the Carnation Gardens band stand next to the castle, are quite the tradition at DL. There's a bunch of great small bands and atmosphere entertainment out there. I know Epcot has tons of this type of thing, but where's the love for MK? I really want to see that park develop its own traditions and unique groups. They have the Dapper Dans and the Marching Band (I think?), but what else? Does Liberty Square or Frontierland have any small groups? (I am honestly not sure, I'm much more familiar with DL's music groups than MK's, even though I've visited WDW much more often and now live within 15 minutes. In the past it was all about rushing to rides, but now as an AP I want to take things slower, enjoy.) Tomorrowland has that stupid new stage just sitting there that would be perfect for small cover bands, anything but Disney Channel Pop/Radio Disney.
On the tangent of bands at DL's Tomorrowland Terrace, one of the groups that plays there, Tomasina (

The finale of the main show, Rhythm! Melody! Harmony! (make sure to catch the first two parts of the show on the related links on that page if you're interested):

Anyway, to get back to the topic, entertainment like this, both small and large, could've made this Nightastic promotion a little more special than a recycled parade and fireworks.
