A very touching tribute.
Odd song choice making it somehow tone deaf yet on point at the same time.

The retheme of RnRC may feel like a consolation prize but that means the Muppets are still around. Whenever HOP reopens, they could bring back the Muppet preshows.Man , those crazy people from X.com are fearmongering saying it’s the end of the Muppets, which is not! If I started this it’s the end of Muppets nonsense, I apologized. It maybe the end of MuppetVision 3D or not, but it’s not the end of the Muppets! Am I right?
They’re not dead. But there’s little reason to believe that whatever Muppets thing Disney comes up with (roller coaster or something else) will be better than MuppetVision 3D. So I understand the doom and gloomMan , those crazy people from X.com are fearmongering saying it’s the end of the Muppets, which is not! I think they're mourning the loss of the final Muppet project Jim Henson worked on prior to his death. Meaning it's "The End of The Muppets from the Jim Henson Era".Man , those crazy people from X.com are fearmongering saying it’s the end of the Muppets, which is not! Think of how the Carosuel of Progress getting demolished would feel to many Disney fans.
That is what this was to a lot of Jim Henson/Muppet fans.
Which is funny, I would be ok now with the 94 partying because ultimately it is not the one Walt worked on and it being there still as it is without updated is ironically the opposite of honoring it.
I'm fully convinced it's only a matter of time before we get the announcement that one's leaving.
It's not generating lightning lanes, not an IP, and they clearly don't care about honoring great people's legacy. John is doomed.

Josh thinks about it daily, right after his daily affordability thought. I’m sure things will move forward soon. Very soon. They wouldn’t say something just to placate fans… right? It’s great they had a poorly-voiced “Kermit and Friends WILL RETURN to another attraction” posted yesterday, but did Disney give follow up to this- (the core point of this thread):
"As we move forward with these changes, we are having creative conversations and exploring ways to preserve the film and other parts of the experience for fans to enjoy in the future."
Are they still having “creative conversations” over this? They’ve had almost a year - no mention of the future of this attraction, in physical or virtual/digital form?
No, they only retheme roller coasters for that. They wouldn’t say something just to placate fans… right?![]()
I think that since CoP can maintain that it's the only attraction in Walt Disney World that was personally worked on by Walt Disney, it's safe, for the time being at least. The company isn't that flippant about their history.I'm fully convinced it's only a matter of time before we get the announcement that one's leaving.

True. I think in my ideal scenario, they'd just restore the original ending and leave it as a museum piece. I have a lot of fondness for the future of the 1990s, but it's just an awkward jump now from the 40s to the 2000s.But annoyingly flippant enough to not care for it to update it from over 30 years ago.

The first time I visited MK with my mom (circa 2015), and we went on CoP, the first thing she said afterwards was "They changed the song!". I quite like that song and version of the attraction! But I digress, this is the MV3D thread.New Years eve somehow felt poetically fitting
Raised on the "original" WDW version though. My family knew Now is the time long before we know Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow. That is what most of Floridians who went knew.
