MuppetVision 3-D - upgrade

Jim Henson's MuppetVision 3-D will be closed for refurbishment from 24 April 2010 to 14 May 2010. It's expected that some upgrades will be made to the projection system during this time.




Will this improve the quality of the 3D in the show?
We love this show, but the 3D effect is so bad it makes the whole ride seem out of date.

I sure hope so! That entire building could use a refurb. IMO this is one of the real jewels of DHS, and it's a shame that it isn't in the best condition anymore.

I'd like to see a new film put in place in the future (possibly themed to the supposed new Muppet movie that is coming out soon? :shrug:).

Theres no consensus on the full extent of the work, but we do know that they will refurb and upgrade to a digital projection system. That should improve the show quality and they'll fix the effects at the same time.

What has most of us are scared to death is whether they will change the pre-show...

Agreed on the first part.

On the second part: One thousand times NO! :fork:

Muppetvision 3-D is the last thing Jim Henson ever did. It should never be altered in any way, shape or form.

Wait Muppets closed 3 days ago??? Sheesh I have to keep up. :brick:

Hope they improve the theater and projection... and leave the pre-show.

I remember reading somewhere that the majority of the refurb will focus on the carpets and overall condition of the theatre........

It's the only 3D movie I can stand. I prefer it over HISTA, EO, and even non-theme park 3D movies like Avatar! 3D movies tend to give me headaches and I have a hard time focusing on the images in front of me. MuppetVision is the only one that I can seem to tolerate.

I just wish they could get ride of the stupid 3d dude ( I have seen that show at least 50 times and can't even remeber his name) he is so annoying.

I definately hope the 3-D effects get worked over during the refurb. Every time something comes out at you, it gets so blurry that its practically not 3-D at all.
