MuppetVision 3-D - upgrade

That would be awesome! I just hope the pre show in its current state doesn't get too heavily altered. I like it just about as much as the actual show!

Well, perhaps the preshow updates will just be to make it look nicer with more modern technology (i.e. LED tvs). It is one of the BEST preshows in all of Disney. Hopefully they would be smart enough to recognize that and not tinker too much.

Tell that to Dreamfinder!!

I hope the same, but I'll be glad to see the digital projection come to muppets!

I hope they switch to digital. I just got back from Disneyland/DCA, and the film quality there was fantastic. Kermit was actually GREEN! All the "films" at Disneyland/DCA were crisp and colorful...why does Disney World use film that looks like it's decades old...even Soarin' is hideous compared to the film used at DCA!

Oh, and FOZZIE BEAR says "wokka wokka".

I knew I had read something about this. From MousePlanet:

…Reportedly, the MuppetVision theater refurbishment will include complete replacement of the carpet and restoration of in-theater effects. Now, if only they'd do some restoration work on the film.…

I hope they don't change the preshow!

Agreed, some of the films at WDW are so grainy that its like watching a 1950s public domain film!

My guess would be that Disneyland has upgraded their systems to digital projection ... I hope Disney World follows suit.

That's what I'm guessing. Though I never noticed it before, Disney World feels run down compared to Disneyland. I understand digital projection isn't cheap, but on the Disney expense level, it isn't too expensive that it couldn't be added to the budget.

Agreed. My local cineplex has 20 screens and more than half of them are digital. If my local movie theater can do it, then Disney certainly can.
