For a book written in 1925????
For a book written in 1925????
Haha sorry. The poster said "sorry" and immediately put it as a spoiler. That's why I was so confused. Nothing to see here, carry on...
I agree, let’s listen to ones that aren’t around anymore, we hear enough of our living presidents and incumbent presidents as it is.Like I said earlier, revert back to the non speaking POTUS format. There’s been audience noise since the 2001 version at least.
Then eject from the park anyone who causes disturbance. Some sections of society sadly don’t deserve to be part of society. And not just in the US.
Reported for being political...
Iger forgot to buy Elvis' estate before he moved up to "Supreme Consultant."maybe we could have great moments in elvis history
Great Moments in Elvis History
Great Moments in Elvis History was a recurring sketch on Muppets Tonight which spoofed the legend of rock star Elvis Presley. Its premise was to feature momentous occasions from world history, such as the signing of the Declaration of Independence, reenacted by three Muppet Elvises. Each sketch...muppet.fandom.com
Removing the only thing in the Disney theme parks that features actual, historical African American folklore seems like a bad idea.
Not really. I’m sure they would if they started doing more substantial things with the characters.Do the Muppets appeal to kids in 2021?
I dont work with that particular age group. I work More with 7 and up. But I’m sure it’s just about as popular as the other similar CGI shows on Disney Junior (which I think Disney does a fantastic job of doing. I myself will admit I’ve watched an entire episode of Vampirina)Didn't they bring back Muppet Babies recently?
Granted, and that is fine, but some feel like this is the ultimate destruction. Some just don't want change.
There’s a long waiting list at my library! For a book written in 1925????
Seconded!Uncle Deadly better makes an appearance!
I was just being silly and/or unhinged. As per usual.Haha sorry. The poster said "sorry" and immediately put it as a spoiler. That's why I was so confused. Nothing to see here, carry on...
There are so many places the Muppets could be (and should have been) imported. A whole bunch of Great Moments shows would be fantastic streetmosphere shows for all of the parks. And also extremely fun easter eggs. That one poster's idea of them parodying Star Wars outside the entrance... A western-Muppets themed show in Diamong Horseshoe (perhaps a reservation-only food & show package). Muppet Mobile Lab at Epcot. And perhaps another great moments style edutainment show in Dinoland USA about, well, Dinosaurs.A Muppet show in the empty Diamond Horseshoe would be better. It even has a balcony for Statler and Waldorf.
I agree. Disney has been trying to seek out their audience, for sure. It obviously isn't purely for adults anymore. I think the general audience would have to be families as a whole... Which is what Disney is best at anyways. The Muppet show was always intended for an adult audience. Sesame Street and The Muppet Babies cartoon were obviously geared towards children, and then they obviously began to focus on a wider audience (Muppets Take Manhattan).
The more recent reboots seemed to be Disney searching for an audience for the Muppets. Nostalgia for the parents, classic Muppet humor for adults, but family-friendly content. It seems like Disney keeps trying to do something with the property to keep it relevant and expand its appeal, but I’m not sure it has a lot of cashet with young people today (not saying it can’t).
Taking an IP they want to inject new life into and attaching it to a show they want to inject new life into seems like an odd move.
Didn't they bring back Muppet Babies recently?
Just my opinion, but I thought the ABC show crossed lines the original muppets did not. Jim Henson and the original gang knew exactly where the line was and walked it like a high wire act.As much as I actually loved the ABC muppets show, the adult-feeling of it did feel odd, because I grew up with Disney's Muppets, not the original muppets. And I think the general public thinks of Muppets as a family friendly thing nowadays.
Anecdotal but I can’t get my daughter into Muppet Babies.. it’s all Mickey, Fancy Nancy, and Vampirina. We tried the newer Muppet movie the other night which she paid attention to for the first 20 minutes, but the catchiest song and dance number is at the beginning, it definitely slows down after. She’s 2.5, I’m thinking we’ll have better luck around 4. But the Muppet show is actually the least interesting for kids in my opinion. At 1.5 Muppetvision was her favorite thing at Hollywood Studios, but that park doesn’t have much for the littles..I dont work with that particular age group. I work More with 7 and up. But I’m sure it’s just about as popular as the other similar CGI shows on Disney Junior (which I think Disney does a fantastic job of doing. I myself will admit I’ve watched an entire episode of Vampirina)
