What's the actual error in what he said?
Why won’t reduce hours for Launch Bay?MV3D will be showing from 10am to 6pm daily until April 2019.
Having been a listener (don't nuke me) of his long running nightly podcast, I can sort of see his immaturity emerge in different moments. He is kinda like the ultimate version of Youtube for all things Disney parks. That is definitely not a good thing.I think it's that any time there is any kind of rumor, regardless of the source, people want to talk about it.
Doesn't change the fact that that particular site is click-baity, doesn't properly credit people for rumors, and the owner is a bit of a crybaby.
Does Launch Bay not get that much people? Why won’t reduce hours for Launch Bay?
Even with Toy Story Land open it's still not enough. I think they honestly should've waited to close GMR until at least Galaxies Edge opens because you're essentially buying a ticket to walk into a glorified Downtown Disney.Well, it’s a corporate defense. There isn’t technically an error. It’s just a carp move by TDO to do this. People are paying for full access to this park. The park is in shambles to begin with, and then they voluntarily take attractions offline to save a few bucks. It’s a trash move.
Why anyone would feel the need to rush to their defense is beyond me.

I also think that we've been so inundated with everything Star Wars since Disney bought them that something like Launch Bay just doesn't have the appeal it once did. I know I decided to skip it when I read that many of the items on display weren't actually used in the films. I went to the second Star Wars Celebration they held before Episode II came out (Don't judge me. We all hoped it would be good.) and they had a large display of costumes and props from the OT and the first two Prequel films, including the full-size Jedi Starfighter from Ep. II and it was amazing. It was amazing, though, because you knew that these were things you had seen or would be seeing on the movie screen. The OT items, especially, were like seeing holy relics to someone who doesn't remember a whole lot from being five years old, but has very vivid memories of seeing the original Star Wars in 1977 and for whom the OT was a huge part of my childhood. It should be down to trickle..Heck at DL's Version the wait times for the characters was under 5 mins while I was there and the Carousel theater area was a library...No one comes in to see replicated props, Go into an empty cantina, and play a Defunct Disney Infinity game anymore....
I forgive you.
Anecdotal evidence to be sure, but among my 8-year old son's circle of friends, SW is *extremely* popular, in all its incarnations (they aren't yet old enough/jaded enough to realize the problems with the Prequal trilogy), and love the new characters. Ray has been a popular halloween costume among girls in my son's class for several years running, and for boys, the classic characters tend to dominate (Vader, Luke, etc) along with some newer characters (Kylo Ren, Poe, Finn). (My son has been Luke, Boba Fett, a storm trooper, and this year will be Darth Vader). So for him, the idea of meeting Chewie, Kylon Ren, and BB-8 trumps meeting almost any other Disney character, save for Mickey.I also think that we've been so inundated with everything Star Wars since Disney bought them that something like Launch Bay just doesn't have the appeal it once did. I imagine that, for kids, having the opportunity to have a picture taken with one of the characters would be the stuff that memories are made of, but I have to admit that I don't know what kind of following the new films have with kids these days.
For me, who enjoys the new films, but will always be more of a fan of the OT, the focus on just highlighting stuff from the new films just doesn't hold much interest for me.

I would hate for this to happen, but how long before MV3D is given the DCA treatment and they start running promo movies in it?

Yes, I know, but DCA using MV3D has ability to do 4D effects aside from lighting. They already do that at One Man's Dream, or whatever they call it now, which is in the same park. So unless they want to change that, I don't see it happening.
If anyone in TDO sees that as a plus, they don’t deserve the job they gave.Yes, I know, but DCA using MV3D has ability to do 4D effects aside from lighting.
