Muppet Mobile Labs AT EPCOT

Basically what happens is that is that WDI R & D gets together with Creative Development and they decide which new project or technology to develop (like Lucky) and then build a working model and then take out in the public and see how they respond

Basically, WDI is shopping for customers, if the parks like the product then WDI will build one for them and changing somethings according to their specifications. But the park has to foot the bill, which it all comes down to everything, it's based on money.

I am glad that someone knows something - I'd asked yesterday when I was taking wand and other pics, and the Imagination guy didn't know what I was talking about!

I was so excited to see the thread title, that I almost peed my pants......then I opened the thread and found out that like Lucky, I will most likely miss seeing this in person too. It totally blows. I love the Muppets! Maggie

I've heard rumors that soft previews will begin as soon as tomorrow. There are no official times, as it will roam around to different locations during the day.

I saw it yesterday in EPCOT. It came from the Land area and went past the fountain and then back by the TT-MS area. Very cool!!!!!

Shame it isn't going to be staying!!!

As an update to my "Live From Epcot" post, it is now 10:52 AM on 8/21 and I just saw the MML not 10 minutes ago. It went from Imagination, through the old Heritage Hallway near Club Cool, through the plaza, and over to the area near the Future World East tip board where it put on a brief show, then exited the same way it came in. It played Muppet music and talked - was very funny. Had an effect where it shot confetti into the air as well as smoke effects.

Thank you for the picture, I was starting to think this was harder to take a photo of then Nessy. As for why there is not a crowd around the lab.... I would say the same reason why there was never really a big crowd around them here at DCA. People just don't know what it is or who they are. While I was watching one of the shows in DCA, the first thing they did after the show ended they asked little kids how they liked the show. Most kids loved the show, but again had no idea what or who they were seeing. They then asked about other character they would like to see and Mickey or Pooh seemed to be the top two.

While I loved the show, I am also the right age for all of the muppets. Disney has really dropped the ball on bringing the Muppets back to life and that is where this project feel short. But it is an amazing feet and a great step above Lucky.
