MSEP Returns

Frankly the attendance we're seeing at DLR at the moment is what it should be for maximum guest enjoyment. Navigating mobs and spending hours in long lines in the hot blazing sun is not how I want to spend my vacation, especially with the premium rates Disneyland charges. I'm quietly hoping this is the new normal.

This is exactly the reason I haven’t been to WDW yet. I can’t get myself to spend my yearly vacation in these conditions. As a semi-local I don’t view Disneyland as a vacation obviously.

I don’t understand your first sentence or last sentences though. Can you explain?

With a new e- ticket ride and new parade opening in 2020, Disney should just throw together a 65th Anniversary promotion with these two new offerings as the tentpole. Not as large as the Diamond Celebration, but since the timing works out why not take advantage of it?

Oh my gosh! You're right! The 65th anniversary gift/stone is the Blue Sapphire. They love to use the color blue in Disneyland decor.

There's A Rise In Your Resistance - The Ride! opens Spring 2020
Magic Happens Parade opens Spring 2020
Star Wars Land Interactive droids/stunt show/roaming aliens opens Spring 2020
Marvel Land Phase 1 opens Summer 2021
Star Wars Land Supper Club Restaurant opens Summer 2021
65th Blue Sapphire Anniversary happens Spring 2020 thru Summer 2021

This could happen. Disneyland needs to get its marketing act together and PR aimed better. This whole thing they did for Star Wars Land where they scaled back the marketing budget and let the neckbeard bloggers do all their work for them didn't seem to work. Opening this stuff up in drips and drabs isn't a good strategy, they should tie it all up in a 65th Anniversary basket and open this stuff strategically and under a larger marketing umbrella.

They used to be smart enough to do that. Now I think they throw darts at ideas suggested by interns and upper management.

I’ll be surprised if PTN doesn’t return in the near future or definitely in 2020. Hopefully this will truly be MSEPs final run.

Mostly because it's old, dated, and they gave us a gorgeous, new, high tech, modern night parade suitable for 2019 audiences that has seemingly vanished.
technically it's suitable for 2014 audiences since that's when the parade debuted in hong kong disneyland, but...

Hmm, Interesting. Disneyland releasing new MSEP merchandise for a one month run... And no more “Limited Time” mention.

Better than the last ones IMO.
