MSEP ending at Disneyland on Sept 1, WDW return in 2023?

Next time don't assume I'm a n00b with Disney and parades. Whether you realize it or not I've been going to Disney (both parks) regularly since 1982. MSEP was running from before the time I went until 1991 or so. Then it returned 2x and I was thrilled (and glad my family were able to see it - once on my honeymoon and then introducing to offspring later) . ETA WDWs verison was its own - and predated Spectro.

While you find Spectro beloved not all do. I found it cheesy and really not good. Glad it went tbh. Still miss the Baroque Hoedown at WDW (and really don't care where people think it belongs) and it is my ringtone.

So I am 100% in favor of this rumor and really hope Spectro is never rebuilt as it was.

That’s the part I don’t understand. There’s really no excuse for WDW not having a light parade.

Should have clarified! Disney ONLY puts light parades in dumpsters. Light Magic, SpectroMagic, Fantillusion, WDW's original MSEP...plus there are two versions of Paint the Night on this planet and both are collecting dust in warehouses.

Spectromagic was put in the dumpster after being left exposed to the Florida elements for years in a brilliant management move (or so I hear ). Yes, that’s still a sore spot for me…

Hopefully D23 will give us a more clear picture of Night Parades, MH, MK Pyro and DHS F!

Unless they pull the plug last minute. It’s hard to predict what will actually get announced given how last-minute they’ve been known to push off an announcement. I know DL is getting it’s parade back soon.

WDW needs both a new daytime parade & nighttime parade at this point. They should stop playing around with fireworks.
