Hmm well, at least they got the name right. Except now it’s Disneys Main Street Electrical Parade and not Disneylands like the rest of the 50th merch has said.

Not confirmed by any means but my friend was at Disneyland this weekend. A couple of entertainment managers were walking the parade route talking with Guests. They mentioned the parade will be back at Disneyland again next year. Who knows if they really know for sure, but they did offer it up when asked.

So PTN will stay in storage for another year? Unless they plan on going all out and running MSEP, Magic Happens & PTN @ DCA along side with the new firework show..

I don't think they have any desire to bring Paint the Night back. They know they are able to please everyone with Electrical Parade. It's cheaper to run as well. As for Magic Happens, I think it's dead. The floats will be recycled into something else later down the road.

Just to clarify, I think you are saying MSEP will be back in DL next year? Or are you talking about a different parade like PTN or Magic Happens.

I’ve long advocated for PTN to go to MK if DL won’t run it again but I also think Magic Happens would be a nice fit for DHS if it’s never coming back. DHS actually could really use a parade in the day as an extra thing to do.

Main Street Electrical Parade is the parade that was referenced to be returning to Disneyland again next year.

I know DL doesn't like PTN, but why trash a 3 Week old MH Parade?!?!?!? ACF and MSEP survived COVID! Granted it's a Christmas Parade and MSEP got a New Finale for its 50th but still!

It would be nice to know if MSEP does have a longer life somewhere. I do wish Disney would put their feet down and use PTN! That way, MK could have a chance to get a Night Parade back!!!

We all love HEA and Walt in Enchantment but why is MK settling for that?????

Oh that logic absolutely makes sense, but I wonder how much the DL preference for MSEP has to do with how much that resort is nostalgia driven.
It's weird how DL's perspective on MSEP has changed. After the big 1996 Farewell Season, DL never touched MSEP. It only returned to help out DCA in 2001. Granted it gave Spectro a break a coulpe of times (2010 was too long, I get it)

It wasn't until PTN needed time off and No F! at the time because of SWGE that DL got over the 1996 Farewell Season Promise. Now DL has no Problem running it in 2017. 2019, now 2022 for MSEP'50th(which it should!)

It's too bad that DLR has all the Night Parade Cards and MK didn't do Pre Planning other than juist HEA in 2017!

If DLR have more stock of nighttime parade, why doesn't bring back PTN next year for Disney100 along with Magic Happens (technically spiritual sucessor of MSEP), and WDW get revamped MSEP from DL?

I honestly think that when fans think of MSEP, they are most likely associated the parade with WDW (East Coast) despite being DL original parade, also for PTN despite being HKDL original parade. This is why fans demanding that parade to return to the east Coast resort instead of DL because WDW are celebrating 50th and also disappointment of the original Enchantment. Yet, at Destination D23 last year, they announce the return of MSEP to DL for 50th instead of WDW.

Another thing that wouldnt make sense is why would DLR throw investment into 2 new MSEP floats just to have it sent off to WDW after a short summer run?

Because it' DL's MSEP's 50th! I don't get why fans are unhappy about that? I do believe 2023 is fair game...... The only bad thing forMK is it's MSEP 50th isn't until 2027, so it can't pull DLR that hard without reason other than to correct the 2016 Fiasco right now.
