Several months back, Maddy had decided she wanted to apply for the Disney College Program. Crystal knew she had interest, but I had no idea. So this past November, I got the surprise that not only had she applied, but already had been accepted. As much as I love Disney, I wasn’t sure what to think since she was only starting her freshman year at USC. But, of course I was certain she could handle things. Now, here we are 24 hours away from making the last 6 and a half hour drive from Columbia, SC to Disney for a family weekend over Easter and her move in on Monday!

Trip Report Moving Maddy In! Experiencing Disney in a New Way

We had planned to head to Soarin’, but it’s down. We can use our pass for Test Track, but it’s a long LL line.
Maddy, Brayden and Crystal want to walk through Moana. I’m taking a slow walk to Italy to find a place to relax before the fireworks
Going to head straight back after. Brayden has a 5 AM bus back to Tallahassee tomorrow morning. Maddy has a 9:35 check in tomorrow at the housing complex
Been a couple of very long days of traveling and parks. Have a few more long days to go.

Not sure what the opinion of the new fireworks show is, but man are we all disappointed. Big letdown from the lulls, to the soundtrack, to the slow start, just overall. 
. We left wanting so much more.
Heading back to Coronado now.

Long day today. Maddy is all moved in. Easy at times, and stressful at times for different reasons. But, it all worked out. Flamingo Crossing looks like a great place to stay. Can’t wait to hear more about it as the summer progresses.
Had a nice visit and beer exchange with @imahistorygeek and @lostpro9het At Three Bridges. Unfortunately, Crystal wasn’t able to join us. It was great catching up with both of them. It was nice to relax and have some fun with them.

Maddy and I getting breakfast at Boma this morning. Crystal is still not feeling well. After breakfast, I’ll take Maddy back to Flamingo Crossing then take Crystal to the airport before I start the long drive back to a cold and rainy PA
