Trip Report Movin' In? Two Weeks in the World!

Hello! My husband (Brad) and I (Amy) just got back from a 2 week trip to Walt Disney World, and had a blast! We are frequent visitors and last year we decided to stay at WDW for 2 weeks so we could take touring slow and do things we've wanted to do but never had time to put in the schedule. It was heavenly to have so much time to play with, and of course in the end when it came time to leave we weren't quite ready (although our wallets were!).

I hope you enjoy a recap of our adventures, please share any thoughts or questions you might have! :) It will be full of pictures too (including food!).

I am going to take a brief break to tag a few people here on the boards that have expressed interest in my travels and some that might be. If I missed anyone sorry, but everyone is welcome! :D

On thing I worry about with this show is the palm trees in front of the Chinese Theater. I really hope people don't complain about the trees "ruining" the view of the show. The palm trees are lovely in that area the rest of the day.
It is funny you say that, because it was my first thought. It looks cool, and if it becomes a thing, there go the palm trees. I really hope not, though.

You have me going through Disney withdrawals over here...LOL!! I am sooo enjoying your pics, and I'm glad that you two had such an amazing time. I'm looking forward to hearing about the rest of your adventure.

Thanks, I hope my pictures can help cure a little withdrawl too.

The palms trees aren't really that much of a blockage, but I'm sure it bothers some people Let's hope they don't make a stink about it.

Then a little Shootin' at the Arcade and checkers before Splash.

We had ponchos for Splash but only used them to cover our laps as we don't like our shorts wet and to cover my purse which is cloth from getting wet. And wouldn't you know it we barely got wet. And that was fine!

Then exploration at Tom Sawyer's, the barrel bridge was closed. So we couldn't cross, we wondered if it had something to do with the gator attack.

And with our love of benches we found some rocking chairs we loved too.

Then it was time to rustle up some grub. We stayed in Frontierland and went to Pecos Bill's. We hadn't tried their new menu yet and were very pleased with our lunches. I got the fajita plate and he got the taco burger. With all the fixin's my fajita plate turned out to be a large meal. We certainly got our money's worth with this meal.

Then to Brad's favorite attraction...just kidding. He always falls asleep in it. This time he stayed awake, mostly because a janitor thought that it was a good idea to change the garbage can in the middle of the show and they were clanking around loudly. Brad also said it wasn't too bad because there was a lot of people in the show and that brought a lot of energy. We usually watch it later at night.

Once at the Studios we went to the best attraction there...Tower of Terror! I went for a couple sepia tone pictures to represent the mood.

Every trip I always buy a picture frame and a mug/cup for my tea. We will be at Disney in just a over a week and I told myself that I'm going to skip getting a mug because I can't possibly fit another one in my cupboard. Then you had to go and show me a picture of those teacup cups!!! :inlove: I must have one...any color will do but I just have to have one!! I will be stopping on Main Street to do bit of shopping:D

Thanks, I have a few more sepia ones that I will probably put in the picture of the day threads. My camera has a nice little setting, I thought about black and white but I thought sepia complimented the vibe of the attraction a little better.

Sorry! ;) My cupboard is overflowing with mugs too but the teacups are a favorite ride so I had to have it. It was pretty nice sipping my coffee out of it yesterday morning! I also saw them for sale at the World of Disney and Mouse Gear at Epcot (just trying to help you out!) :)

Happy Anniversary! Great report and really enjoying the photos. Sepia ToT is great as @MinnieM123 said; also like the photo of the Jungle Cruise boat.

Thanks! The Jungle Cruise is not only fun to ride but fun to photograph!

Sorry I just meant they were for sale/buying. Although, after I bought mine, I noticed they were on sale on the shop parks ap but that sale ended around the 4th of July.

Day 7: June 27.....A day (or most of it) apart

Brad really enjoys golfing, and it has been a little dream of his to golf while we were at Disney. He said mini-golf didn't count. He never has because he didn't want to give up park time for golfing, but since we were there for so long this time we scheduled a day where he could go golfing and do his thing and I could do whatever I wanted. I had originally planned to do a tour, but a spot opened up in the Dine with an Imagineer lunch so that was my thing! Plus a little separation on a vacation with so many days together isn't a bad thing.

Here are a few pictures Brad took while golfing. He first golfed the Lake Buena Vista for the sunrise 9. I guess it was a special package that included a few things, all I remember is it also included a breakfast sandwich. Oh, he also got up at 5:30 to head to the golf course. He wanted to start early to avoid some heat. Also, Disney paid for the taxi to the golf course from the resort and to the next golf course and then finally back to the resort. He had to get a voucher from Bell Services. He golfed Lake Buena Vista on his own, which he likes to do, he says he likes to think and contemplate things while golfing....

Then he played the Magnolia course and was partnered up with some people He had a fun time playing with them and found them to be interesting people. He really liked both courses, he was impressed with the quality of them, and the clubhouses. If anyone had any specific Disney golf questions, I can certainly ask Brad for you. And of course he wants to gold Disney golfing again! :)

These are the the pictures of Lake Buena Vista.....

Cool! Always wanted to play golf at WDW as well, but never wanted to sacrifice park time. Early 9 makes so much sense.
