We Canadians are often navel-gazers when it comes to describing Canada, the greatest nation in the world (at least for hockey and natural resources - except for Potassium, where Kazakhstan is champ).

Don't forget that Kazakhstan invented toffee and trouser belt.

Sounds god. Glad we finally have some conformation on Canada, and an opening date for the SSE post show. Hopefully news on a SSE overall rehab will follow.

All those updates sounds great! I'm anxious to see the SSE post show, myself...any ideas what it might be like?
For once, the lid is tight on this one! I`m kind of excited by this - we might actually have a surprise come opening day...

I would like to see AA do a little somethig more about Native Americans. I'm Cheyenne and it bugs me how they (and other theme parks that have America themed shows) tend to very quickly gloss over what happened to us.

I would like to see something about 9/11, but I don't know if it will happen. When I tried to write a Leave a Legacy about my firefighter hub's line of duty death (he was the first to die in the NYC area after 9/11 in the line of duty), the cast member I worked with made me rephrase my legacy several times because he said "this is supposed to be happy. we don't even let any 9/11 peple mention deaths" when all I wanted to say was "In memory of (hub's name, LODD)" They made us change it to "(Hub's name) We love you".

And they also have to be careful about offending people from other countries.

I hope that the SSE post show is not like Space Mountain's used to be...where RCA (who I worked for at the time) just putout a bunch of their newest iventions/TVs/etc to show..kind of like a car show..lol.

Does anyone remember that? I have to laugh now thinking about those old clunky wooden console TVs being touted at MODERN..well, I guess they were in the late 70s.

The Canadian Adventure! I like it, but change it around to an attraction that represents some of our more daredevil activities:

- Doing the Sudan Colouir at Blackcomb on skiis in winter, and mountain bikes in summer.
- Running the rapids at Kickinghorse.
- Crossing the blue line, with your head down, and Dion Phaneuf & Scott Stevens are the opposing defensemen.
- Riding bulls at the Calgary stampede.
- Doing a bike courier run in downtown Toronto, especially some of the Queen Street combos of taxi lanes, streetcars and i-bankers on cell phones driving $100k cars.
- Trying to escape a Montreal...uh...'establishment'...with any money in your wallet.

With so many great ideas this deserves more than just a pavilion, lets make it an entire 5th gate!

I do, but you`re forgetting the rest of RCAs Home of Future Living - it was more than a few TVs. It was certainly a more entertaining post show than RYCA-1, FedEX-1 or todays mess.

Nothing will top Transcenter for product placement - but you could still spend an hour or more browsing a shameless GM plug. That`s what sponsors get.

These are all great little updates. My only wish is that they would add one other AA scene to American Adventure of something a bit more current than WWII. Some updating to the film at the end though will work just fine. I wonder if it will be an additional 45 seconds or if the new stuff will replace older stuff.

Although nothing has been announced for Epcot's 25th, and some assume Disney will do nothing for it, I would think that all of these updates/upgrades, including the still unfinished makeover of The Living Seas could be seen as readying the park for its anniversary, just like DL got with some of its original rides for its 50th. Add a new firework show, maybe a parade and a small making of Epcot exhibit and they have it made :)

When we were at WDW over Christmas they were working on set pieces for the Three Cabs ride. They could be seen in the last section of the building where the tram drives through on the Backlot Tour at MGM. There were two large sets one appeared to be a huge backdrop of palm trees and other plants, and the other was a platform with an arch over the top. The tour guide said that these were being placed in Epcot's Mexican pavillion for the updated boat ride. It was pretty neat to see.

yep...I love the American Adventure, too. It's one of Disney's best shows to date. It could certainly use some updates, though...as long as they don't change the spirit of the show. No three caballeros here!

Didn't you hear? They're going to be the new mascots of World Showcase. They'll be putting a rollercoaster in the show building behind Germany based on three Caballeros music, there will be talking animatronics in Restaurant Marakesh, they'll be replacing the polar bears with the trio on the Maelstrom and having a an intro by Donald (in sombrero, of course) before the new Canada show.

American Adventure is only natural!

I also agree they need more on Indian herritage than just paying lip service to Chief Joe.

Disney's Canadian Adventure!

I'd be more than happy to accept a $150k / year position to make this happen! Here's my plan...

- Bring in the sponsor's - Molson's, Labatt's, Tim Horton's, Canadian Tire to start
- Open a Tim Horton's to supply the construction crew with coffee
- Open a few 2-4's of sponsor-provided beer
- Look for somewhere to get some fries or flapjacks
- Hit the 'Timmie's' for a extra large double-double
- Realize that a trip to Canada allows people to do all of that, and more!
- Collect my paycheque and go home...after touring WDW for a couple of weeks

Absolutely! The Canadian Adventure could also:
- sell a Canadian Mickey, liquid not plush
- bring in a new Celtic band featuring Casey and Finnegan
- sell Celine Dion's perfumes
- labels everything metric
- Degrassi High School Musical
- CANUBA!

:sohappy:
