Disneyland hasn’t been an intellectual’s paradise ever since they closed the artistic masterpiece of the Motorboat Cruise.
It's a motha effin marathon if you're with my family, no rests allowed!

The term intellectual has almost become derogatory. Which is unfortunate, since it really just refers to one who enjoys thinking deeply and logically about things. It’s not about judgment.
I would say something about Hall of Presidents no longer qualifying, but we’d have to take it to the politics thread.
“Most Exciting Disneyland Attractions for Intellectuals”
The title is already contradictory. Perhaps most discussed attractions? Or most debated attractions. Or most attended attractions. Sorry, the most intellectual debates seem to be at the WDW threads and even then it’s self-defeating. It’s like looking at a contemporary painting. It’s what you think it is.
At least it isn’t in CAPS.why are you in bold![]()
I’m not a passionate Disney fan, I’m a passionate American historian. But anyone who lives in the United States should love that show.
This is the kind of talk I honestly hate. Take the stuff with actual value beyond "oh it's fun" and destroy it.I can certainly appreciate the Lincoln show within the context of DL history, but in my opinion its way past it's expiration date.
You take this stuff far more seriously than I do, or even the average person visiting DL. I used to have a similar mindset but I came to realize that it's foolish to expect Disney Parks to provide anything more than entertainment for the masses with a dash of nostalgia designed to make us spend spend spend. Lincoln seems silly in today's Disneyland. Maybe move it to the Smithsonian or the Disney Family Museum.
Don't even get me started on Hall of Presidents.

I'm with you. I can't imagine anyone besides the most passionate Disney fan going to a Disney theme park in this day and age to watch a robotic President Lincoln deliver a speech. The Lincoln show is at least 20 years past its prime.
mine is the oppositeThis is my posting style in general.
