More features announced for the Disney Dream

Disney's cruises are just really over priced. Even with my CM discount, I'd be paying more for one of their cruises than for some of the other companies.

Their cruises are really terrific. Still, a premium product, not a Walmarted one marketed as something better.

But I agree on price. I've only done DCL on CM deals (did a seven nighter once that cost $1250 TOTAL for three adults in the highest category balcony cabin).

Not as good as my FREE (well, had to pay taxes and fees) seven night Hawaii cruise on NCL, but ...

I put Disney and Princess way ahead of the other lines I've been on (NCL, RCCL, Carnival) though. And RCCLs new ships are just absurdly large (did a quickee cruise on Oasis a few months ago and it's so freaking large you might as well just go to a nice hotel attatched to a mall or casino ... no thanks!)

Oh, can't agree there. The Oasis is a marvel(as are RC's Navigator line), and I'm dying to cruise on it.

I've been on RC and NCL, and I'll never sail with anyone other than RCCL.

As nice as the Dream will be, Disney surely could have picked a better port to visit than nassau. That's the only reason I won't be onboard for a while. When we were there in dec nassau was very unappealing to say the least.

I cannot wait to try out this ship. I'm tired of going back and forth between the Magic and the Wonder, which are about identical anyway.

I always thought it was lame that the adult hot tubs had views of absolutely nothing. At least with the kid's hot tubs you could sit in there and watch movies on the big screen...but they were KIDS hot tubs (and we all know what kids do in pools). Hot tubs looking out over the ocean sound heavenly to me! Now if they could only stick one on my balcony....

I can't wait for this as well. I am hoping it will be something we will be able to do as the times gets closer.

Laura- You will have to be my planning partner in all this

To be honest they are not as bad as you would think...they pretty much have their own area and are doing their own things away from the adult areas. Sometimes the wife and I feel like it's more of an adults cruise than a family cruise.

Couldn't agree more. IN fact DW and I can't wait until we can take a Disney Cruise without the kids! :)

I'm with you. We rarely saw kids. I see more of them while at the store than on board. I don't know why, but it also seems that the kids on board are mostly well behaved. They don't seem as our of control as they are at WDW sometimes.

You know me. Biggest Disney apologist on the fansite circuit!

I took a quickee one nighter on Oasis and I have to say while it is an engineering marvel (you could fit like six Titanic's inside it), it leaves you very cold. It's simply huge and not in a good way.

If you're on a cruise ship and can't tell, something's wrong. And often times, I had no idea I was on one.

RCCL has a product aimed at folks who really don't want a cruise. They want everything from land at sea and that totally blows the whole purpose of one to me.

I took one of their nine-night cruises a few years back and it was awful because it was like going to sea with 6,000 of the same people you try and avoid at malls or theme parks!

To each their own. I loved the feeling of the RC ships, and really enjoyed my time there. Met a lot of great friends.

Now, on the other hand I took a Norwegian cruise, and I felt like I was on a floating old-folks home!

I think so. Royal Caribbean is amazing. If I'm going on a cruise, I'm going RC.

100%, I am a Diamond member with RC and can't justify going on a Disney and not getting all the perks i get with RC (concierge lounge alone)! If only they would take my membership as a trial, but even then i cant see giving up all those credits, cruises up with RC! Off to the Oasis in 2011!!!!
