Well, WDI aren't moneyholics, it is TDO. WDI were the ones pushing for the expansion while TDO and Jay Rasulo were not with it. That's what they say occured.
Now, as for this getting "trimmed", I am tired of it. Simply tired of it. We got a "trimmed" Space Mountain refurb, and now this... It's simply uncalled for and unecessary. Makes me want to send Disney soooooooo many hate mails, it's not even funny..!
As for the blueprints getting leaked, I don't know how we got so many leaked blueprints. Wonder if it's just Disney doing it on purpose I really don't think so though.

HM was an aberration, in all honestly.
Whylightbulb told a story about how a project manager wanted to spend a few extra hundred dollars on a different shade of paint.
No, no, you misunderstand what people are saying. By moneyholics, people are saying that WDI tends to overspend and never seems to get the bang out of their bucks, not that they look to spend the least as possible. They tend to let egos get in the way of progress.

Don't get too down. It was never going to look exactly like the concept art. There will be cuts here and there, that's just the reality of things. It'll still be beautiful.

Well, I am sure that it will get cut. As you said it is the reality of things, but what I fear is the amount of what they are going to cut. Let's hope they don't cut TOO much.

They can't to be completely honest.
You cut the theming on this thing, all the little touches, and that highlights the lack of actual attractions in it.

-Be Our Guest Restaurant
-Gaston's Tavern
-Belle's father's house
-Beast's Castle
-Cinderella's Chateau (don't know the show name for this one)
-Aurora's Birthday Surprise
-Dumbo's Circus
-Pixie Hollow
-And lastly TLM ride
-If you wanna count the retheming of things like the teacups and the Pooh area then I guess that would go here.
Now if you are talking rides then it's a totally different story.
Attractions=9(more if you count the more subtle changes)
Rides=1
Eateries=2
EDIT: How would Cinderella be a true attraction? Legit question no sarcasm or rudeness intended.

I'm going to take your things one at a time.
First off, I really don't consider restaraunts "attractions". It's a great thing that they are getting built, the MK needs them badly, but they aren't "attractions".
As for Belle's Fathers House, is that the story thing? If so...eh. I really don't consider that an attraction.
Not an attraction. Merely a facade for the restaurant.
It's a show with the transformation of Cindy and the training for boys. A complete, well thought-out addition.
Sorry, don't consider coloring cards an attraction.
It's still just Dumbo. An awesome upgraded Dumbo, but Dumbo none the less.
Maybe. We'll see what it actually entails.

I do not, as these are the things I would first expect to be cut.
The more aesthetics they cut, the more people are going to see there's not a whole lot of substance behind the expansion.
(Again, I like the expansion.)

Just because us fans want the best of the best doesn't mean we need it.
You can't honestly tell me MK needs this huge expansion as much as HKDL/DCA.
