Pre-Trip More amazing than the time Michael Jackson came to your house to use the bathroom?

More amazing than the time you saved those old people from that nursing home fire, right?

Yeah, and I bet it was even more amazing than the time you ate your weight in Godfather's pizza.

Okay, Michael Jackson didn't come over to my house to use the bathroom...... But his sister did!

And even more amazing than that is...we are going back to WDW! If you would like to follow along, there is but one requirement...

All together now...

Now, lets get down to business.

Who: My wife C and I. And possibly C Minor (our niece), depending on how her schedule and school grades are.
IMG_20180711_125859.jpg

And Minor:

IMG_20180711_125935.jpg

Where: Boardwalk Villas, studio room, pool/garden view

When: December, 8 days so far but as always, we will add more.

We recently returned from a 7 day trip in July. We brought C Minor with us and it was our first time travelling with a kid and we had a blast! We had actually booked the upcoming December trip before we even left for our July trip and it is sort of a Christmas gift/vacation for C and I but we had soooo much fun with Minor that we may bring her back with us. Only issue is that she would have to miss about 4 or 5 days of school and here in Georgia that can be rough from what my brother (Minors Dad) tells me. I guess the school can really come down hard on you for unexcused absences nowadays. What a shame. But we shall see.

Our travel dates have us returning about a week before Christmas and the more we plan, the more we wanted a few more days! We have wanted to stay at the Waldorf Astoria and we figured this would be a good chance. Of course we got on Youtube and watched some videos of the Waldorf and we loved it so we very well may add two days to the beginning of the trip and check it out. C and her Mom have a trip booked for October to check out Food and Wine Festival so she is excited to get to see Disney at Halloween and Christmas.

Thats all for now, updates to come soon. Thanks for following along and have a great day!

Good morning from our new balcony at BWV!

We may not have monorails passing by but we do have Friend Ships! And we didn't notice yesterday, but we can see Tower of Terror as well
IMG_20181214_075533.jpg

We left HS studios yesterday and had lunch back are the room. C has been hooked lately on all the cooking challenge shows, like the one with Guy Fierri (or however it's spelled) and Beat Bobby Flay, which cracks me up every time I hear the name of the show but it's actually my favorite and was on while we ate. As usual, I brought some new beers to test on the trip. Up first was "Hop Gun". Yes, I bought it simply because I like the name. It's an IPA from Funky Budha brewery. Not bad at all.
IMG_20181213_170253.jpg

At first thought it had a coppery taste but then realized I had just drank an orange vitamin water prior and it was messing with my taste buds. Overall I'd give it a 3.5 out 5.

We headed over to Epcot for the evening to get our AP magnets and scout out the Christmas booths for food and drinks
IMG_20181213_183554.jpg

They were in Mouse Gears and we also shopped for some Holliday pajamas for MVMCP. It was pretty busy and I could not find the location to get the magnet so I noticed two CM's talking to a lady about Christmas ornaments. One of the Cm's was just standing there not talking and kind of looking around so I quietly said to the her "I'm sorry to interrupt, I'm just looking for the AP magnets". And she just blankly stared at me with a very disgusted look for speaking to her while she was standing there listening to the other CM yap about ornaments. C noticed it and said and channelled an @Tuvalu snarky tone and said, "she's obviously busy, let's ask someone else". The CM just stood there and still said nothing. It was quite odd. We found another (polite) CM who pointed us in the right direction. We got our magnets and headed out.

The park looks excellent with all the holiday decorations. The tree looks like it's lazily listing to the left a la Soarin Eifel tower style, lol. But it's still beautiful.
IMG_20181213_173529.jpg

Behind the tree there is just an odd shrub in the shape of a block.
IMG_20181213_173618.jpg

Quite festive! Lol.

As we strolled past the benches outside of The Land, C hit the breaks and gasped. I had no idea why, and she said she just a huge rat scurry under a bench where two woman were seated. The two woman also had a look of shock on their faces. I said it was probly a squirrel but C and the ladies assured me it was not. The weird thing was that all three of them said that it was moving really really fast. Almost too fast to even be a rat or mouse and that it was humungous. We joked with them for a few moments about the supernatural rat and then headed off.

We hit a few attractions and located some booths that we will be visiting today for the Holiday festival and trying out some snacks. C grabbed her favorite, a macaroon ice cream sandwich as we headed out

That GFV room

Ya, it was Ah-Mazing!! It was only for one night and now we are at BWV in a studio. C and I have already discussed buying more DVC point ts so we can get 1 br villas more often, lol. Even though it's just two of us, having all that extra room is sooooo enjoyable. And the king size bed is awesome. But the design of the room was just stunning. We didn't even go out that first night. We just stayed in the room to soak it all in.

We saw a rat in the outdoor seating of the Norway bakery several years ago. So gross!

The large Disney rat was probably Remy's brother scurrying back to where they are building Ratatouille. ;)

We had that same view in October, we could watch the weird palm tree light show at the Swolphin from our balcony.
C has excellent taste in snacks, the macaron ice cream sandwich is one of my favorites too!

Good morning from a cloudy (but warm) Disney balcony.
IMG_20181215_093144.jpg

Rained most of the day yesterday but it's still warmer than Atlanta. Being able to wear shorts in December is great. We had a very slow day yesterday and took it nice and easy. We bounced around from Epcot in the morning then back to our room, then back to Epcot and then over to MK then back to Wpcor to finish the day. We it rode three rides total all day, lol.

We walked around Poly and GF to see the Christams displays
IMG_20181214_153158.jpg

We went to Mizners after Poly for a quick drink before going to MK
IMG_20181214_160937.jpg

Here is me smiling as we sat down. my smile faded after about ten minutes of waiting on our drinks. Then another ten minutes passes and still no drinks. At the thirty minute mark, we just left. It was really ridiculous. We ordered 2 beers. It was busy, but all it takes is to reach in the cooler and hand the waitress 2 bottles. We watched as the bartender made various cocktails but could not find time to grab two beers. Shame. Our waitress was the only one there and had a full house to handle. Can't blame her as she was severely overworked. Not a manager in sight to help out either. That's the main reason we actually waited that long. We watched as she was running all the over the place and we were assuming someone would show up to help her, but nope. We overheard (and saw) several tables being very rude to her for the long wait. One man was using lots of profanity. She was trying hard to handle everything but there was just too many people there for one person.

We headed to MK and had a late lunch at Pinocchio's.

Ok, I give up....I can't figure out what the acronym Wpcor stands for. Help me out, please? It's driving me nuts!! Google comes up with tire rims and some foreign website, so it's no help.

That poor waitress....I hate it when people are rude to waitstaff...it's a HARD job. Did she see you leave?

Knowing @wdisney9000 it’s a typo. Man fingers on a tiny phone keyboard? Wpcor = Epcot 😉
OMG, now I feel stupid. That makes SO much more sense. In my defense, I spent all day Christmas shopping for my brother, which was a completely fruitless event, and then wrapping all the presents for my kids....so it's kind of past my bedtime after a long, frustrating day....no brain power left for deciphering Disney Code. :banghead: Thank you for the explanation.

Had a great afternoon yesterday and met up with some friends at Epcot for drinks. Afterwards I surprised C with tickets to the After Hours party at HS. We did the MK after hours in July with our niece and it was great, but the HS After Hours party is definitely our favorite now. At the MK party, crowds were low but most attractions had a short wait. At HS we were literally walking on to every ride. It was aweosme.

We had such a good time and got lots of other pictures and video that I'll post in the TR. This party was absolutely worth the price. Just to be in HS and move around freely and see all the decorations was worth it. Being able to ride Toy Story back to back a few times without getting off the ride was icing on the cake!
