But you are supposed to be riding on the doors, so it wouldn't make sense for a door to go through a door.

No, I don’t believe you are riding on doors. It’s some sort of scare/scream collector in the warehouse.

Marc Davis lamented the fact that there was nothing funny in Disneyland prior to his involvement with the park, and strongly disliked the pivot towards roller coasters when he retired from WED in the 70s.

He would be especially appalled with the current state of Disney theme parks. Like many who made what they were.
Is Disgruntled Marc Davis here on this forum?

I agree going in one of the doors would ge awesome. Then you could seasonally change where you go when you enter into the door.

Sully: Mike this is the wrong door. We need to find Boo’s door!” and then you are back out again.

So many possibilities: a scene from a classic Disney movie, imagineering office, Disneyland, another Disney ride like Pirates, etc.

Not sure it makes logical sense but it seems more fun than riding around a big warehouse.

I forget who it was on this forum I think they said it originally and I had a similar idea that at one point we will go to a snowy mountain area and see the abominable snowman from the movie

I’ve been on break from the forum for a month or so and don’t want to read the past 200 pages of this forum. Can someone please tell me the current popular consensus on where this is going?

Yes
Add this to the speculative pile, but it seems to me we go through a door at some point in the ride through a scene. There's not a lot of reason for the track to leave the main warehouse mid-ride otherwise I can think of.
I'm so glad that someone finally mentioned this because it's without a doubt the main thing I hope makes the final product.

There is a portion where it does look like we go through a door and back which could make for a great gag and a jarring change of scenery... "Welcome to they Himalayas!" or something similar.

Was another.
Horizons was sort of but also 20k at Disney Sea. also I think Uni perfected the benefits snd rs ge with Kongfrontation, and the still operating ET Adventure and Kuka arm ride vehicles that can give the same or enhanced experience.

Hoping Monsters at EPIC really utilizes it too.

Honestly, I can't imagine the attraction being very compelling without popping through different doors and experiencing the unique surroundings within. Hopefully this aligns with Disney's vision for the project. Could even incorporate practical effects like fog and cold bursts for a "Welcome to the Himilayas!" scene.

The model very clearly shows most of the ride being in one space. Having boxed out sets within the main show box would ruin the illusion and the whole concept of being transported.

Screenz?

I agree it's a lofty notion. It's likely not going to be anything more than a large warehouse bldg (themed to a warehouse) void of visuals with the exception of moving doors. Hope not.

No. I just think people are trying to manage their expectations based on Disney's track record.
That’s very fair, but some of this conversation is starting to veer into reactions to an attraction that doesn’t actually exist yet. It’s fair to temper expectation, but a little much to simply theorize and then get angry at theories. We don’t know how exactly this is going to look and be so at the moment I can’t help but see any discussion of ride elements or ride time as simply assumptions that aren’t worth being mad at. We have nothing defintive, even location. By all means speak on what is desired and not desired from it all, but this is giving the same energy as that HoP thread: getting mad at ideas that we ourselves have come up with.

How effects play for sure we don't know exactly. However we know.tjemlayoit and that it will feature an elevator lift. With this one we actually know more than others what it will be in that regard.
