DHS Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

In other news, I’m hoping there can be a more natural way to connect Toy Story Land to AC if it ends up with Monsters going there. Right now you’ll go past the remnants of Pixar place and generic backstage theming (One Man’s Dream and Mermaid) and then get there. They can of course leave it all as is and it’ll still be great, I just think that corridor is very disjointed. To clarify this is not me advocating to remove OMD either
I agree, I also think One Man's Dream and Mermaid can be left alone, plus they can add a cutaway path behind those buildings if needed. The hope I have with Monsters in AC is that we get some type of connection to Sun Set to help with crowd flow, especially once RnR get's rethemed that will cause a huge traffic jam if it's still a one way road.

Do you mean me specifically or in general? I don’t feel I’ve treated anyone badly on this board, that I can recall. I went through my Debate Bro phase earlier in life, lol. (I’m not actually a bro but this seems to be largely a male pursuit so there’s not a name for females.) Somewhere on an internet Time Machine is me getting into an absolute smack down about free will (probably repeatedly)!

Not directed at you, just a general comment.

Thinking about Walt Disney Presents, it exits into AC at the moment. Will they reroute the exit or will it still lead to Monsters if that's where it's going?

I'm starting to wonder if Walt Disney Presents will make it. They are still not playing the One Man's Dream film and instead are showing the preview to Inside Out 2. Makes you wonder what's going on.

I agree and in an ideal world they would find a way to make the Muppets IP relevant to modern audiences but sadly it will likely get replaced with zootopia or some other nonsense.
We did an armchair Imagineering episode on our show about this topic. My suggestion that I do think is actually viable is a Muppets takeover of Sci Fi Dine-In and the taphouse. It puts the Muppets behind a pay wall, but gives them an in park presence.

I'd hate to lose Sci-Fi -- it and and the 50s Prime Time Cafe are two of the only remaining locations from the original park that are interesting and fully themed inside and out instead of only having a themed facade (like most of Hollywood Boulevard).

Muppets vs. Animation Courtyard. I suspect that if it ultimately goes into Animation Courtyard that probably only buys Muppets 5 more years. They are clearly looking to re-develop that space.

I really enjoy MV3D. I'm even wearing a costume themed to it for the Wine and Dine 5K. With that said, I don't mind if they remove MV and put something else in it's place. What I do mind is the thematic cohesion between areas. It fits better where other animated properties are, not in between Indiana Jones and Star Wars. It's just not right there.

I like the museum and show, but They could always move it back to the original location of the Walt Disney Story on Main Street and open that space up for redevelopment...
In my opinion, I think they should replace NBA Experience building with a giant Walt Disney museum with occasional interactive exhibits, the one man's dream film, ect. That would be such a great addition to Disney Springs... And would also give a LOT of space for archive things to be on displayed and would be almost minimal to operate, while still charging an extra fee.

Feels like a no brainer to me.

No
So we got a news cycle and... Nothing about closures to Muppets or Launch Bay. Curious.

Wondering what the Mermaid delays means if anything at all.
Left field prediction: Monsters takes over AC and Little Mermaid kills Muppets and we get Ariel’s Awesome Area (trademark pending) with a Chef Louis themed Seafood joint.

I don't think TLM is an IP Disney would double down on. I know this is likely a joke.
