This just seems like an unrelated hodge podge of IP rides with nothing in common and very vague ride systems.
Fantasyland is supposed to be a hodge podge of IPs and non-IP rides. If the goal is to recreate a “fantasyland“ for DHS then I think something like this would work. It’s a lot of attractions and if recent history holds, a new ”land” means 2 rides max so unlikely to happen at this scale but I’d be all in favor of it. As far as ride systems, whatever they build next for DHS probably should have no height requirements. Traditional dark rides, boat rides, etc.

DOES NO ONE CARE ABOUT ROCK N ROLLER COASTER!!! I CANT BELIVE THEIR DOING THIS. next up is gonna be abc commissionary redone/renamed. Then the Dino restaurant (I forget what it’s called but that whole area is gone) Then Pixar place/animation courtyard. Then star tours Then tower of terror. This will all be within the next 20 years. So be ready to say goodbye. I’m not even going to bother with the other parks.

Not that much, mainly because the best elements of the ride are not being removed as of yet. The coaster itself is not changing, and you will still get music while you ride it. Now, they COULD ruin the theme, but on the surface, this seems like it's a decent change.

I think it will be fun. And good to keep something "Muppets" around... I hope they add a little something more around it.. a Muppets miniland they never built around the old show...an additional ride and restaurant would be great..

That would have taken the sting out of the Muppet vision loss. If they say, we are restoring the Muppets courtyard with original fountain. And we're adding a new Muppets ride/show with a cool meet and greet. Then if we could see what the actual plan is for the retheme, people might be ok with this. I think the fact that we really have nothing on this has made things worse. Personally I think this reskin is nothing more than a stopgap to whatever the real plan is. I can't see them keeping the muppets around long term.

Pages back I think the speculation was the height requirement would be somewhere between 38 inches and 40. The only rides at WDW over 40 are Space, Tron, Guardians, RNRC, FOP and EE. The door coaster won‘t have inversions so that makes it lower. Cosmic Rewind is 42in and I definitely would not call it a kiddie coaster. ToT is 40in and that’s also not a kiddie ride IMHO. I guess it depends on everyones definition.

I think the average 4 year old is around 40 inches so most kids will qualify for this ride by age 6 if not sooner. It‘s not supposed to be an adults only coaster but also not for infants and smaller toddlers.

As a point of comparison Dollywood has a family suspended coaster that has a height restrictions of 39"

I do think the Monsters one might be a little more thrilling than that one but would be surprised if restriction is more than 40" or max 42" ... But not like the ride system/safety mechanism of a suspended coaster can't be done for kids

Plus there will be the theater show for folks that like Monsters Inc but can't/won't do coasters of any type

It’s been awful watching Iger erase the Eisner legacy.

I’m not going to mind if the next management team wants to erase the Iger legacy.

Eisner did a fine job erasing his own legacy in the second half of his tenure....

If they use the footprint of the theater, and the additional area there, there seems to be about enough room to put an actual dark ride there and have the Door Coaster down the street. Maybe they could move the Laugh Floor into Pizzarizzo...get it out of Tomorrowland.... Isn't there a Disney IP that would actually fit Tomorrowland...aside from the Tomorrowland Movie and Meet The Robinsons?...Perhaps Elio?

I'm curious, for WDW folks, would there be interest in using the animatronics, ride vehicles and other assets from the DCA Monsters Inc ride?

It's widely expected to close and make way for Avatar in that corner of DCA. While a pretty meh experience in its current form, with some plussing or even using the flashlight technology from Tokyo, it could be exactly the kind of C ticket dark ride experience Hollywood Studios is lacking.

Considering how WDW has a low number of darkrides, I would welcome any addition.
