I’m not sure how Cars isn’t but I agree on the other one off additions. I wish they did more of that. I think the Monsters Doors coaster could have probably worked fine where it’s proposed without changing the rest of the area. Keep MV3D and maybe do one of the restaurants. For years MV3D existed next to Star Tours and with a Toy Story themed pizza planet next door along with a generic italian restaurant. ToT works fine as 1930s Hollywood next to RNRC which is obviously not set in the 1930s (Steven Tyler only looks that old).
I just mean Cars "technically" is part of Frontierland and isn't really themed to Radiator Springs, but to a national park setting. That's why I said "technically" lol, but I know it is basically a Cars land in the middle of Frontierland.

And yeah, Monsters definitely is borderline. I personally am okay with it because I find Grand Avenue to be a mess and don't have a strong attachment to Muppets, but I get it. And it really feels like it was "we want to build the Door Coaster" not "we think Monsters would make a great land," which is what I don't want them to do.

You are not usually one to hint at things… am I misreading your post?
Just an awareness of what’s usually in such spaces. That space between Rise of the Resistance, Muppet*Vision 3D and Mama Melrose was guest space that was turned into back of house space. It’s not laid out in a way that says “we intended for this to become guest space again”. They even put equipment in the area. My guess is that equipment is there and a big ride like Rise respected Cypress Dr because there’s a bunch of stuff under there.

Stuff can be dealt with if the desire is there but it’s also a headache that can eat up resources.

Cars is being proposed as part of Frontierland, not a new Cars Land like in DCA.

I reject the idea that Carsland will just be part of Frontierland. There were no cars in the 19th century American Frontier.

By the way, I know I am wrong here. I know that’s what Disney is saying and I know Tiana also doesn’t fit in there either but I still reserve the right to be irrational and refuse to accept reality.

I mean, valid 😂 I know once it is built my family will probably refer to it as Cars Land lol.

Gotcha! I misread it as you saying there was a project happening again backstage Main Street. I understand what you meant now regarding surveying!

DOES NO ONE CARE ABOUT ROCK N ROLLER COASTER!!! I CANT BELIVE THEIR DOING THIS. next up is gonna be abc commissionary redone/renamed. Then the Dino restaurant (I forget what it’s called but that whole area is gone) Then Pixar place/animation courtyard. Then star tours Then tower of terror. This will all be within the next 20 years. So be ready to say goodbye. I’m not even going to bother with the other parks.
Please not Muppets, please not Muppets, please not Muppets....

To be fair Aerosmith hasn’t been cool since the 80s, maybe the 90s. They were near the end of their popularity when the ride opened. Their heyday was really in the 70s before Steven Tyler and other members of the band got heavily into drugs. After rehab and cleaning themselves up they had a rebirth in the mid 80s when they joined with Run DMC to make a remake of Walk This Way. They went on to have some other hit songs and popular videos on MTV in the 90s including that song from the movie Armageddon. I am sure there were ongoing discussions to replace Aerosmith at some point but once Steven Tyler got into some personal trouble and was accused of crimes it was a matter of when not if and more importantly who to replace them with. They could have gone with something really cheesy like Hannah Montana or the Jonas Brothers so I think the Muppets are a fine compromise.
A band that sold out concert tours for decades and had parents taking their children to "wasn't cool". We'll agree to disagree.

They sort of have, but not totally. Tropical Americas isn't, Cars technically isn't. Tron Wasn't. Guardians wasn't. Remy's wasn't. I know people feel that way but outside of Pandora, Star Wars, Toy Story, and Monsters, they have lots of "counter" examples. Compared to Universal it feels about the same. 4 of Epic Universe's lands are single IP areas, plus the Potter areas.

What I want them to avoid is having single attractions need a "land," like Zootopia. Just make a ride if that's a case. A land should only happen if you have enough ideas with the IP to make multiple attractions based on it. MI is right on that line lol.
Also...
The retheme of the Tree of Life to Zootopia isn't creating a Zootopia-land.

The retheme of RnRC to the Muppets isn't creating a Muppets-land (that we know of).

The Cars show in Sunset Blvd and the retheme to a Villains show didn't and isn't creating a Cars-land nor a Villains-land.

I’m not sure how Cars isn’t but I agree on the other one off additions.

While yes, Piston Peak is an expansive outdoor setting taking up a lot of space like a 'land' does, it only has the off-road ride and the mini children's ride. Nothing else around it (HM, BTMR, TBA, Frontierland, Liberty Square) is being redesigned to become part of a Cars-land.

It's like Pluto*... an edge case. :)

Disney's thinking: "Wouldn't it be funny if The Muppet's took over Tower of Terror too?"

Considering that every project announced at the last D23 wasn't a clone, and any repeated IPs are getting a different ride system, I'm hoping that means they're moving away from attraction clones
They seem to be moving away from trackless as well. I guess we don’t know what Encanto will be yet or the villians stuff but it seemed like the majority of what is known was something else other than a trackless ride system.
