If you look closely at this model you can see the pylon in place to support the switch between UoE and Horizons. The pylon wasn't built like this but this is where the expansion joint was built making this switch possible in the future.

Good eye! Pretty amazing they went ahead with that little detail for the monorail beam for a model.

Look up a bit at @peachykeen and @Figment2005's posts. They've got it.
Here's a pic I found that @peachykeen posted on another thread. The monitor I am speaking of is missing from this pic. The control board is there though. On Monorail Orange, the monitor was directly above where you see this control board on the pilot's left. Just imagine a black and white CCTV security type monitor.

But, I do now get that it is not for a video feed. It is for fire suppression system.

That's a Mark IV. Here is a photo of that panel on a Mark VI:

Nice Pic. I don't see it here but it came through on my email. I'm gonna have to see if I have a better pic of what I saw. Otherwise, I'll have to take a better pic in August.
Yes this is an old photo, that is the old heat detection system at the top. I have not seen the new one yet.

Photo update as of Wednesday, Nov 4. Finally, after many months of looking at construction walls around the monorail station at the Magic Kingdom, concrete pylons were poured recently to support two sets of emergency exit stairways at the west end of the station (opposite the guest entrance).

Although photos were posted some time ago showing the new emergency exit stairways at the Ticket and Transportation Center monorail station, landscaping plants are now installed and the project is almost finished at the back side of the TTC station. Work continues at the front of the station.

Why Cab 1 and Yes Black is my favorite also known to me as blacky

The controls are more responsive and have a better feel in cab 1. Black doesn't accelerate as fast as some of the other trains (red), but the brakes are amazing and ride is smooth as butter.

Man I'm jealous of your jobs rite now :( ...knowing about and driving the various monorail trains(right term?) that sounds pretty cool!
